Ok so I’m having a very intimate wedding (18 guest max) but I wanted to do something special for our guests, I was planning on making OOT bags with 2 bottles of water (with personalized labels), a pack of mints or gum, 2 granola bars, 2 bags of mini chips (possible), Chocolate bar (possible custom wrapper) as well as DND door hangers (made by me) and a personalized Thank You card for each guest.
Now my question is ….
Should I give them a favour? I had originally planned on making cranberry sauce (I have cute jars for it) and I have about 15lbs of frozen cranberries (originally had 150 people invited) so should I do the Cranberry sauce still OR my alternate which is
Cake pops (made with tim bits) http://aubreyandlindsay.blogspot.ca/2011/05/5-minute-cake-pop.html (I’d wrap up 2 (1 for each couple) or possibly 4 in cute bags (indvidually wrap each one then give a cute mini bag with them)
or should I do both
or 1 as favour & 1 in OOT bag?

Is there any way that you could actually pay for their meal if you omitted all the decor, OOT, favors, treats?
I think it’s best etiquette wise to provide their meal for them since it’s the “reception” part. That is very nice that they were all OK with paying with their own mean, but then I was just curious how far away from covering their meal would it be compared to all your ideas when they get added up!

The OOT bags/favours will cost under $20 total as I already have everything (except timbits if we do that), our wedding was planned for September & rescheduled for August next year & then we’ve decided to do this in November.
As for dinner it looks like we’ll be able to afford it because my parents are now coming and my dad is giving us $300 so we only need an extra $150 which I can get so we’ll be able to cover dinner.

@MrsN2Be: That is wonderful – it’s all falling into place! I am happy for you!
I too had a roller coaster of a wedding/engagement journey.
