That dress is gorgeous and figure flattering. I really like the scallop neckline.

I think it’s a gorgeous dress and not too plain at all.

I do recommend you try dresses on, even if you know you can’t afford a salon gown. It’ll help give you an idea of what shape gown suits your figure. I went in thinking I’d get a tulle skirted ballgown, with belt to accentuate my waist. I ended up with a totally different dress as the tulle ones highlighted my wide hips.

Have you tried any gowns on? If not, I agree with Luce587 that you should definitely try some gowns on even if you cannot afford to buy one. I went into a few stores and tried on gowns without purchasing just to get an idea of what I wanted. Even if the dress in a store is not your size, they can clip it so you can at least get an idea of what it would look like on.

In any case, I like the dress in the picture. Sometimes less is more. If you’re worried about it being plain, it can be dolled up a bit with a pretty sash around your waist that has crystals. Or, you can simply make your accessories a bit more “flashy”. I love the neckline and the lace. It’s very romantic. No matter what, you have to be comfortable and happy in the dress. That’s all that really matters.

Honestly, I think you can do better. Dont let a budget get in the way of finding something amazing. This dress isnt amazing and I dont think you think it is either. Go try on dresses, hit up the sale racks etc You’d be surprised what you can find.

With that said, if you like this dress, then thats all that matters 🙂
