I LOVE that! I would do the cheaper DIY version – esp because I don’t think programs are worth spending too much money on anyways – guests will probably glance over them and put them under their chairs. I think that passage is really meaningful and you should go for it!

I am in agreement with @MsVoyageur. Am totally down with simplicity when it comes to programs.

I did exactly what you did – devoted tons of time and effort to designing the perfect, stylish ceremony program… but ended up realizing that I needed to focus on other details that would actually be noticed and appreciated. And really, with the exception of the 3-4 that get saved by family members, ceremony programs literally end up in the trash.

My programs were way simple. Small 5″ x 3.5″ cardstock with print on both sides. I made enough so that I could place one on every other chair since most couples typically share programs anyway. Total cost was $5, still incorporated elements of my wedding designs, and it did the job beautifully.
