I think they’re great – my only suggestion would be to end more strongly… something like…

Finally I am feel blessed and proud to make all of these promises to you today and always as my heart is overfilled with joy that today I become your wife for the rest of my life.

@VegHeadBride:  Maybe this isn’t what you are going for, so please ignore me if I am off the mark. We are eloping and the vows are the centre of our ceremony. Ours are long, heartfelt, and personal but no one will be around to hear them (except my parents), so I have no worries about annoying guests.

Anyway…I would say that if you are going write your own vows rather than repeat someone else’s words then there should be a reason for that. By that I mean they should be personal and not just different generic statements. I don’t feel like I know Mr. and Mrs. VegHead any better by reading through these vows.

They are well written and the sentiment is there, but I like personal touches.

@VegHeadBride:  I put a lot of personal references in mine. Others may not pick up on them, but that’s okay. I just want him to know why I chose to promise the things that I did and it is all based on our experiences together as a couple.
