- Wedding: August 2012
So, I was originally having a winter wedding in Feb. 2013, but now we’ve bumped it up to August 18th, 2012!!! I am keeping my same dress I had originally picked, but now I’m trying to decide on the veil style.
Originally, I wanted all the drama I could get, so the obvious choice was chapel or cathedral length. Now, our ceremony is outdoors in a grassy “mall” in the heart of our university campus but the reception is still in the grand ballroom. So, I’m thinking something that meets in the middle but still practical for the outdoor ceremony.
Also, I feel like a birdcage would be phenomenal, I just feel that it’s a bit overdone these days… but maybe it’s the right choice overall since there’s already a dramatic line at my waist and so I should go with either really long or very short… I just don’t know, help please!
Here is me in my dress wearing a cathedral…or chapel… veil, I guess I can’t decide which it is now that i think about it. Also, my mom refused to take pictures of me in the fingertip length veil because she said there’s no way and no other choice than cathedral…grrr…but I thought it looked fine, just not AS perfect since the length seems to bring it all together in the picture.
What are you opinions?? P.S. don’t judge, this dress was a smidge too small and giving me some extra chest!! 🙂
