Helllloooo, wonderful bees!
My BMs will be wearing the J.Crew “Arabelle” dress in silk chiffon Spiced Wine. They will also be wearing nude patent leather peep toe pumps. I’ve decided that I really like the look of a statement necklace to tie together the ensemble, but I can’t decide if I should do a colorful statement necklace or a multistrand, pearl chunky bib necklace. I’ve included insta-collage pics because I am seriously OCD 🙂
These flowers are inspiration I found on Pinterest-my flowers will feature the same colors, but will also have Antique Hydrangeas added. Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets will be wine colored dahlias, circus roses, succulents, antique hydrangeas, scabiosa pods, and hypericum berries. Any input is appreciated!
I love the colorful necklace, but basically my concern is that the colors will look like I’m trying too hard to be matchy matchy with the flowers-and the exact shades might be off. I’m stumped!

Definitely the plain necklace! The colors would be too much IMO. Everything will look great!

@whoa_its_ash: That’s what I was worried about, but I feel like I lose sight of my normal opinions when there are soooo many decisions to be made 🙂 thanks!

@WhatMaeBee: i like the pearl one better as well. It’ll look cute

The plain necklace looks best, the colourful one is too busy.

I’ll play for the other team. I like the colored necklace! If it doesn’t get the exact shade of the flowers, that’s even better, you get a nice flair of color from the necklace AND the flowers, and the design of that one seems to be more in line with your inspiration board than the pearls to me. The pearls, while beautiful, seem to have a totally different feel than the flowers/colors you seem to be describing.
But don’t worry, they’ll look great in any case.

I like the plain/pearl necklace better, personally. I think it ties everything together really nicely without being overwhelming. I feel like the colorful necklace is a bit too much, though I like the idea!
Your style is awesome 🙂

I vote for the pearl necklace. They could wear it again later with more options of clothes and it’s beautiful and classy. I think the bouquets and dresses should provide enough colour.

Thank you for your expertise, ladies!!! Since the wedding is still a year out, I may try to sit tight and wait on it (operative word-try!) I am torn between thinking the colorful one would be too busy, or that it would be freaking awesome….The pearls are definitely a safe bet, and maybe The Loft or J.Crew will have an awesome sale on some necklaces soon 🙂 I watch their sales like a nut!

I like the colorful one! The dress is classic, the shoes are classic, it’s time for a fun necklace!

I feel like the pearl fits better with the feeling/theme of your wedding.

@BrandNewBride: That was also a line of thought of mine!!! I got them a fun sequined clutch, and the flowers are fun, but they probably won’t be holding either all night….sigh! So torn…

@WhatMaeBee: While I love the first, colorful necklace (and would definitely wear it) I think the pearl option is better for your wedding. It’s a lot of matching and colors for one look. So my vote is for the classic pearls.. it’s still a definite statement piece too!
