I am looking for a second dress to dance/party in…my two finalists are:
1. Monique Lhuillier
2. David’s bridal
I like the feel of the first dress – it’s still classy with a touch of lace. At the same time, I love the pink tulle in the second…so I’m torn between the two..opinions?

@kitkatz: #1 is nice, but #2 really makes me swoon, I vote for the second one.

@kitkatz: What does your main dress look like? What is your venue like?

my main dress is a mermaid..i love the bling on it but it’s too heavy to move in it…
and my reception is at a hotel..

Seems a waste to drop $$$$$ on a monique lhuillier as a second gown when there’s a much much cheaper option at David’s Bridal that you love too.

Honestly, I would choose a lighter, simpler style than the than the second. I tried on several tulle ballgowns and full A-lines at DB, and none of them made me feel like they’d be easy to dance in. Tulle is very fluffy and fragile, so it felt awkward to maneuver and I knew I would be afraid to tear it. The first dress looks easier to dance in.
ETA: I truthfully like your mermaid dress much more than both of these (sorry if that’s not helpful)

The blush Davids Bridal dress is stunning!

@kitkatz: What dress is the DB? I keep clicking on it in the catalogue and it takes me to a dress that is clearly not offered in blush.

The blush dress from DB is my choice.

Get the blush DB and get it shortened to tea length-knee length. And wear some fantastic shoes!

#2, so much easier to move in! Plus it is a fun colour!
