For classy yet fun, I would vote the first with the paper lantern ball thing or the last with the feather.
I honestly don't love any of them. I like the jello one's but I can't picture how they would work in your colors. I think those are so great because they are a strong pop of color.
@Talishazwi: Thanks ;)
@mwitter80: Thanks! Do you have any ideas that you like? I'm insane, I'm talking searching the internet, magazines, and stores for the past year looking for centerpeices...lol.
@futuremrsmartin11: Do you have another theme or just the colors? what's your budget? how big do you want them? what don't you want?
No need to be sorry, I was just asking for opinions, and that's what I'm getting. I love input, opinions, and suggestions. That's what I'm here for.
No theme, my cake topper is me kissing a frog and him standing behind me with frog feet though! I like a fairytale theme, but I don't want it full-blown.
The tables are long, not circular, so I want something big, but not something that people can't see over. If I did small, I'd probably have 2-3 to a table. I'm willing to spend a bit on them to look nice, but I don't want to spend 500 dollars on centerpeices. Maybe 100-200 altogether, give or take.
I like cute things, anything unique. For instance, I really like the jar up there with the picture in it, I think that's adorable, but I would want that to be a small part of the centerpiece, and I really don't think that goes with my wedding.
I think the jell-o thing is adorable because I like The Office. :)
I *really* want to steer away from the "glass bowl filled with colored rocks" thing, I HATE HATE HATE the colored rocks thing, it's very overused around here, and not unique at all. I like sparkles. I like color, I like flowers, but I don't want it to be mainly flowers.
I want it to be a conversation starter!
@julies1949: That's pretty! Thanks! I like that it's not clear, it's blue. Very pretty if it was lavender flowers!!
@futuremrsmartin11: I think the jello one with the flowers is very 'clean' and eye pleasing. The others were okay, but that was the best of the selection.
If you want a conversation starter what about something like this, in your colors of course.

I'm referring to the beaded screen above the background table. You would still want to have something low on the tables, but hanging these above each table would certainly be high impact.
@futuremrsmartin11: How many tables do you have? I estimate the jello centerpiece to cost about ~$10/each and the lantern ball ~$12/each. You won't be able to do much more that those on the budget of $100-$200 total depending on the table count. I still think they are pretty cool though. Hydrangeas will be pricey and the right shade is tricky. I wanted them for my wedding.
i really like the 3rd one. I think the flowers are very traditionally classy looking, but the beads on the vase make it fun. :) Plus it'd be easy to incorporate your colors by making the vases.
I love the jello one! Super fun. Though I'd probably do it in a covered container. Bugs flying into it would freak me out.
the paper lantern in the first pic will fall over unless you just use the lantern to cover a vase? I like the sunken flowers. The mason jars are too homey/southern/diy.
@Silentlove: Thanks!! I think I may buy some jell-o and flowers and see how it works out!! ;)
@julies1949: Pretty! Is it diy? Do you know a site it was on?
@Talishazwi: Not sure how many tables yet, probably 8-10. I could actually spend more than that on centerpieces if I absolutely loved them. Hydrangeas are beautiful!!
@jennylynn13: I like those, too. I was going to make a sample about 2 months ago but nowhere had lavender beads in my shade. Hobby lobby, walmart, michaels...nowhere. So I'd have to hardcore check the internet and stuff.
@kala_way: Lol, good idea. It's an inside wedding but flies could still get in with doors opening and shutting. Good advice :)
@efitzger: Yeah, but you can fix it to where it looks like that and sticks. Adhesive and such. I like the mason jars but you're right. It doesn't go with my wedding at all. If I was having a forest wedding or something, I would probably use it. I wonder if I could put a picture like that in light colored jello? Idk if that would work.
I purchased some of my items at dollartree.com which made the vases $1! So you could do a candle arrangement

This is also super cute with the burlap down the center.

You could also have mini-cakes made as centerpieces. Each table would get their own wedding cake! Then you and DH could cut a smaller cake as well (saving money on that too!)

you could also do a long thing of wheat grass with flowers in it. It would take advantage of the length ofyour tables

I really like the jello one, its so bright in color but its so super clean lines and yet so playful.
Yet like @mwitter80 I'm not sure how you coudl make it work in your colors unless you did something like a bright blue (jello the color of a crystal blue ocean) with purple and navy blue flowers with stems. It would sorta look like flowers in the blue sky of an open field.
how long would jello stay jello-ey after its placed on the table? i would think the reception room would get a *little* warm, especially if there are a bunch of votives placed very close. wouldn't it get watery?
i love the idea, i'm just playing devil's advocate right now.
@futuremrsmartin11: Wow, I think you and I have the same taste in centerpiece ideas. I like both the paper lantern with flowers an the beaded vase with flowers in it! I nixed the beaded vase because of time involved and beads can be costly. I still haven't ruled out the paper lantern idea, but I am looking more at doing mason jars. I like the simplicity and cost effectiveness. I will also be able to use them later. I like the idea of the pictures in them, but I am going to go more with flowers and candles in them.
I hope you figured out a centerpiece idea!

I'm going to post a few pictures of some centerpieces I like, and I'd like some opinions. lol I am really indecisive, I like all of these! First of all, it's a summer wedding. Colors are navy blue and lavender, with silver here and there. I'm not sure of the feel I want yet, but I do want it to be classy, yet fun! Sorry they are so big.
this ^ is jello.
This would have a little more around it than just two candles. But I like the feather idea, it's just not super unique.
