Alright Bees, I could really use some help on this one. My engagement ring is a beautiful palladium tension setting, and our jeweller just sent us the first render for their idea for the band. To be honest, I’m a little disappointed by it. The engagement ring is lovely and symmetrical and simple, and the band just looks… awkward. I’d love to get some ideas that I could send back to the jeweller. What do you think?
Since it looks like images are still broken, here are some links:

Yeah, your ideas are a lot better. I’m really not a fan of the original.
Have you considered not having an actual “set” worn together though? I think no matter what you do, the fluidity and design of your e-ring is going to be kinda ruined by adding a band. I would probably just want to wear it on my right hand and get a completely separate wedding band if I had your ring.

Beautiful ring! Of your alternatives, I think I like #3 the best, but it’s hard to tell if that would look good without seeing a rendering.
I wonder if by trying to wind parts of the band in with your e-ring, it’s taking away from the perfect simplicity of it? Could you just get a separate ring that does not wind into it? Or have you already looked into that and it looks weird? What about a small band on either side?

I kinda agree with littlemissmango. You could wear one on each hand – and that way you can pick whatever ring your heart desires – or you could ‘rock the gap’, as they say.

I definitely prefer your alternatives. With that said, I like 2 the least of the three alternatives.

@caelanarcher: Can you post a picture of your actual ring by itself?

I think you need a wrap or ring guard style that your e-ring can sit in. That way you can have symmetry on both sides of the e-ring, and you don’t need any awkward contouring.
Here’s something kind of along the lines of what I picture: http://www.mervisdiamond.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/5e06319eda06f020e43594a9c230972d/g/a/gai-tr-148a_1.jpg (I know this is all one ring but the same effect could be achieved with your e-ring and a wrap/guard).
