Gorgeous dress!! Honestly, I adore this dress completely and am jealous I didn't find something like that when I was getting married!!
It's gorgeous! I'm sure it will be lovely on you. the v back sounds pretty
i think that you need to wear it and send in the picture in order to get an "honest" opinion. also, dresses don't do complete justice for certain brides until they have their veil, hair and makeup done...thats my 2Cents =)
I am a sucker for alencon lace because I absolutely love it so I ADORE the bodice work. I like the ethereal and romantic feel the dress emits.
I am 5'4" and I tried on dresses with a dropped waist and it made me look shorter.
It would be really hard to say unless we could see you in it but that was the general consensus during my fittings. I am personally not a fan of the scrunching (I think it is called the pick up style?) but I think that is because I think it doesn't look good on me.
Again, I really think it really depends on the person because it can look so different on the right person.
It is a beautiful dress! I love the lighter material for the skirt; it makes the pickups softer and lovelier. And I love the fact that it has the popular strapless top and pick-up bottom, but with the way the top is shaped and the bottom is a different fabric, it has a look that's uniquely its own. You have great taste. I'd hang on to this one! :o)
It is beautiful. I think for some of us that whole 'this is it, this is the one' feeling is something that will never happen. I am not necessarily a person who changes their mind at the drop of a hat, but I had some issues with my dress between when I ordered it and when I saw it again. In the end, once I tried it on again, I really loved it (but mind you, still didn't get that 'this is it' feeling).
Here are some pictures of me in the dress! Please let me know what you think...
I haven't looked at the dress, because what I (or anyone else) think about it shouldn't matter. You have to do what you think is best - you want to walk down the aisle on your wedding day feeling good and not having second thoughts about whether some other dress would have been a better choice for you. And if you're having second thoughts now, chances are the things that a bunch of anonmyous posters say isn't going to change that.
I actually had a similar problem myself; I bought a pronovias gown that had been worn once before off of ebay. It looked great on me and would have been lovely. Surely the Paloma Blanca dress looks great on you and would be lovely too (at 5'3" and 105 lbs, pretty much anything will look great!). But, like you, I wasn't exactly happy with the first dress I got; it was also a snap judgment purchase and I kept looking. I ultimately ordered another dress (also from ebay) and I'm much happier about it. I'm planning on selling the first one on ebay (which you can do, too) and wearing the new one. Best wishes to you.
For a very honest opinon and I apologize if I offend anyone-
when I first saw the picture on brides.com, I though "nice lace" but "ugh" pick-ups...though those aren't as dramatic and pronounced as some of the ones i've seen. It's a personal thing, I just don't like pick-ups.
BUT
then i saw the pictures of you in it, and honestly I think you look really good in the gown. I don't know if it's just the picture angle, but I think you look tall in the picture (not short) and you look really soft/elegant. I don't think it would be worth the loss of money/hassle to get a new dress, b/c you look good and once you have all the hair/makeup/veil/accessories I think it will be even better.
I.. don't like it........ at all. You have a great body and a beautiful face, and I just feel like there is so much potential to be totally rocking your wedding dress. I don't like the lace on the top, and I hate the bottom!! Very cupcake-y. I just wonder if twenty year from now, you're going to wince at your choice because it was trendy at the time.
Go with your gut feeling, it seems that since you are asking others their opinion, you yourself no longer like the dress and your just hoping that if you find enough people to say good things, such as yes it is lovely you should wear it, it will make you feel better about your dress choice.
I have done the same thing on many purchases. I purchase things I like at the time , then start to have second thoughts, I ask others in hopes they will make me feel better about my purchase. However, it doesn't work, I still have that gut feeling of "oh, I wish I would have"
You now know everyone thinks you look great, but the truth is you don't feel that great about it. This is the one time in your life that you want to feel and know for YOURSELF you are beautiful. No matter what others say it is about how YOU feel.
So now to try and stop rambling....... if you are having second thoughts now and feel that you want another dress, go and get one. You don't want to be getting ready for your big day and break down because your dress isn't the one you truely wanted.

I ordered the Paloma Blanca Style #3609 back in April. We got engaged in March and I was moving out of town, so I wanted to pick it out with my mom and sister before I moved. We are not getting married until August, so like many brides, after picking out my dress so early and then doing so much reading/research I am having doubts if it is still "the one." I am 5'3", 105 lbs, so you can picture what it would look like on my body type from the picture below. I guess what I'm looking for is an unbiased, honest opion from a stranger, b/c if I ask a friend I feel like that have to say they love it. Thank you : )
