Just wanted to get some opinions on this lazaro dress. I tried it on the other day and it looked beautiful (sorry, was not allowed to take photos) BUT THE PRICE IS HEFTY!!! I’m still trying to decde if it is worth the money.
It had a nice wintery feel (I will be marrying in winter) and there are actually crystals all throughout the dress so it has a touch of sparkle. The train is a bit short for my taste but the silhouette is nice, especially making it a little fuller at the bottom with some extra crinoline.
I keep thinking that I want a less trendy/sparkly dress but every dress I have tried on in that category I have hated.I actually have been obsessed with lace but may be coming to the realization that it just does not look good on me. Sparkle on the other hand…different story- as much as I wish it were the other way around.
What do you ladies think??

I think it’s very pretty with really unique details. However, for me I think that with a busy top like that I’d rather see a simpler skirt or vice versa. For me it’s a little too much all together.

i agree it’s pretty busy, with the top and the skirt together… it’s like your poor eyes don’t know where to look! also, that teensy train would drive me nuts with the big “R” word (Regret!)!!! i actually bought a dress that was incredibly close to my dream dress, but it had a sweep train instead of the full one that the dream dress had. when it came in, i HATED the train… there were other reasons, but the train was the main reason that i became a two-dress bride… if you already don’t like the train, and it’s pricey for you too, then i’d keep looking. honestly, tons of dresses have that silhouette and some similar features… so if you don’t love that dress wholly and completely AS IS, just keep looking and you’ll find the perfect one. 🙂
also, and please forgive me for my design-ignorance, but are those snowflakes on the bodice or starfish or just stars? i can’t tell? and i can see it working for either theme of snow or beach, actaully, i guess?

i personally don’t like it at all. don’t like the sparkle, don’t like the ruffle bottom, and very trendy, not in a good way. there are some trendy dresses that are timeless too 🙂 keep looking!

What about this dress from Maggie… its ivory(which I am so against for my skin) but with a silver overlay! Looks way prettier in person! The white one had just white overlay and not that sparkly. You can remove the little sash too

OH and I wanna say this was about $1200 and had a beautiful train!

Thank you guys for the input. The train is super short…almost nonexistent 🙁 and I do like the look of longer trains.
@cherryblossomlove: That dress is beautiful. I have not been able to try on any Maggie dresses yet but I may be making a road trip to a place that carries them very soon.
And I am sad to say that I am actually on the hunt for a SECOND dress due to dress regret 🙁

@faye0314: Same! Very pretty, but I think the top and the bottom together are a bit too busy.
I just want to say thank you so much for posting this haha. I have been in love with a mystery dress for about a month now and I haven’t been able to figure out the designer. I noticed the flowers on the lazaro dress were similar to the ones on my dream dress and so I did some snooping on google and found that the mystery dress is Lazaro LZ3061 (: If you hadn’t posted I never would have seen the flowers on that gown and never would have figured out the style number of my dream dress (:
