Hi,
Can you please give me an honest opinion as to whether this dress is too different for a church wedding? Also, do you like the dress?

I think it depends on the church. Some churches require that your shoulders are covered. If that isn't the case and your church doesn't have any restrictions then it is fine! It is very beautifil and you look amazing in it.
Love the dress and think it's fine for a church ceremony.
If the church is really strict, maybe something to cover your shoulders while in the church, but otherwise I think it's great.

It look sgreat on you and is perfectly fine for a church wedding. You do have to feel comfortable though.
I agree with all the previous posters. Your dress is not only church appropriate, but you look amazing in it. As others have mentioned, the only issue may be that some churches require shoulders to be covered, but this varies alot from church to church, even in the same demonination.
When I saw the thread title, I pictured something like this:
It's a totally adorable princess wedding dress. You aren't showing an inappropriate amount of skin, and it fits but isn't vulgarly tight. You look smashing. As long as you remember to only kiss with "church tongue" you should be all set ;)
Thanks, I absolutely LOVE the dress. The church would be fine about the shoulders. The only problem is that it's soooo not what I thought I'd have. I really wanted the big white dress, but I tried this on and loved it more than any other dresses. Now I need to decide if I still want a big dress or if the fact I love this more means this maybe the one. Its really hard to decide :-)
It is definitely appropriate for any setting. You look amazing in it!!! It is sexy and classy!!! I've seen many brides wear something like this in a church setting. GREAT CHOICE!!

ide wear it in a church. Its not like one of those see through pnina tornai dresses (lol) and its not uber short so i think its fine. it looks great on you!

I'm glad you all think its ok. Maybe its because my aunt once said my cousins dress was too sexy lol. I just need to decide if I can give up on the idea of the princess dress now. Even though this one looks better its a hard choice.

Girl, this dress is like a modern princess dress--you needn't feel bad about "giving up" a dream! It's big, puffy, ruffly, girly, and a bit blingy...it's got all the trappings of a princess dress. You'll still look just like a princess. This dress looks great on you, I hope you decie to go for it.
I like it! It looks great on you and I agree with PP that it's not too sexy for a church at all. If you are from a conservative church you may just want to find a bolero or something similar to cover your shoulders during the ceremony. Other than that it's a great find!
I would agree that it is completely fine, if you feel like there is a little too much skin for you/your family you could also do what @ms.peters.to.be said and add a little jacket or a shawl just for the chuch.
I'm not sure how anyone could ever think that was "informal"? I think it would be perfect!
Neva I had to pick myself off the floor because I was thinking the same thing. The dress fits and looks gorgeous. I dont see how it would be a problem at church since most wedding dresses now are sleeveless and the dress is not revealing at all.
Thanks girls, I guess I just meant it's very tight compared to other dresses i've tried. I don't think it's very revealing its just compared to more 'traditional' dresses I guess it is ;-)

I agree with all the Bees, it looks great on you and is very appropriate. Your figure is being "shown off" in a very tasteful and elegant silhouette. If you love it.. go for it!

I love this dress on you! I think it's an excellent choice, and not inappropriate at all. You may need a little jacket for the church, but only if they have some sort of rule surrounding it.
its gorgeous. I had the same question about my dress but at the end of the day if u have a slim body type, u have to wear something sorta tight i feel. i think u look beautiful and classy.
