I like the contrast of the chartreuse belly band.
... but I may be a little biased, since I used chartreuse belly bands against my grey invitations.

the pictures are paper belly bands...but i think we will do ribbon. If we end up choosing chartreuse...does anyone know where to buy chartreuse ribbon?? it's so much easier to find lilac...and silver and white and gold. haha
Just google single face satin ribbon and look to see what colors you can find! It's cheaper to get it in single face.
though I must say, I like how the paper matches...
@LaborOfLove: thanks! i was thinking ribbon because it's easier--one snip! haha :-) but I was hoping to use ribbon that his wire so it stays creased on the sides....but it costs a bit more than I'd like. boooooo
LOL, I couldn't wait to scroll down because I didn't know what color chartreuse was, but it is IT!
I voted for lilac actually, because I thought it was a teeny bit more subtle and sophisticated - but the chartreuse is a little more whimiscal and fun - they are both great, I don't think you can go wrong!

So...FI and I are pretty much decided on what our invitations will look like but can't quite decide on what color belly band to go with. What do you guys think? Chartreuse? Lilac? Other?
Our wedding colors are shades of purple, navy blue and chartreuse.
