I agree about the metal sides, I would love the ring even more without so it would showcase the diamond a little more. The ring I tried on has milgrain designs on the edges, which is similar to your second ring. What about something like this? (I just googled milgrain engagement ring and saw what popped up haha)

They seem like reasonable prices too. I think if you shop around you can find similar ones where the diamonds stop and don’t go all the way around. Good luck searching and keep us updated!

Honestly, I think that the metal sides would detract from the beauty of the stone.  Also the first one has channel set stones, and the other has prong set with milgrain edges too, so there are a few things different about it.

It looks like the ring you fell in love with is maybe a half carat or so? If that’s the case, why not think about moissanite? It’s a 9.5 on the hardness scale, and this ring matches the CZ you originally found pretty well:

The half carat costs $585, and at that size your stone would be super white.  You can go bigger too if you want!
