Ladies… I know I’ve posted a million boards about this dress but I can’t be buying anymore :-P.
My last and final question before purchasing is WHAT COLOR??? I think my plan is to wear a fuchsia/magenta color sash and shoes with this dress, so I think the ivory/almond will clash(which is shown)… But is white/white too ‘white’? (that is what the bridal store told me when I tried it on, ps- I tried on the ivory/almond – which I love). Should I go for white on white, white on almond, ivory on ivory, or ivory on almond????
Brides in pics look cute to me with the white lace dress with the sashes (i.e.- the monqiue lhuillier style). Also, my complexion is close to the model wearing the dress… brown hair, dark brown eyes, caucasion. That may be a factor of your opinion. Lay it on me… and thank you ladies so much for your help thru this!!!

before making the puchase – why dont you (one more time) go into a bridal salon and find a similar dress in similar color WITH the magenta sash and shoes and SEE how it’s going to look first??
if you’re going with magenta – i’d go for the WHITE, not off-white or almond, just white.

I did try it on with the ivory/almond dress – it wasn’t working for me… but I wasn’t sure if ivory/ivory would work or go with white/white… thank you!

I personally wouldn’t get the white/white because you will lose the contrast between the lace overlay and the fabric underneath, which is what makes the dress so pretty. I would go with white/almond or ivory/almond so you still keep the contrast. Are you set on magenta? Maybe there is another shade of pink that coordinates better with the ivory/almond dress (which you said you loved!)…

i agree with sayithot. the white/white may not come off as so special. what makes the dress unique is its contrast.
not that that helps you make your decision….thats my 2 cents.
ware you married to the magenta sash? could you do a champagne or other neutral sash and leave the pop of color for your shoes?
