ok, so those didn't work...i'll have them up in a few - lemme put em on photobucket
so, when paper is 50% off at hobby lobby - I've calculated that for 100 sheets of brown 12x12 and 75 sheets of orange 8x10 + 75 sheets of cream 8x10 it'd come out to around $55.00
btw...my colors are orange and brown, in case ya couldn't tell, lol. :)

I think your invitation is really cute! It looks a lot more expensive than $55. Just one minor point, in your date, you don't need the "and" between "thousand" and "ten". Good luck!
I think they look great, I actually saw some pocketfolds that look similar to this on the internet and liked how they arn't the "typical" pocketfolds!
Would you mind posting a DIY tutorial for your invitations?
These are cute but to be honest I am an etiquette nut and you technically aren't suppose to put your name with his last name until you are married. I don't know how much etiquette you care to follow but thought I would comment since you asked for honesty. I mean no disrespect. I also think the small monogram on the front of the envelope is hard to read. Not sure if it is the picture quality??? Is there a shadow around the edges of the words?
I DIY'd mine invites too and I kept adding things that made the budget go a little over. Things like sticky tape and square double sided things to hold it all together, it all adds up so fast! That scrapbooking stuff is high dollar! Postage ended up costing $.79 to mail because of the weight of my pocketfolds and the map/directions and rsvp postcard.
I love the colors and the bling! Best of luck!
What are the little round things on the inside top of the "envelope"? I've been looking for something like that for mine! LOVE yours! Great job!
as for the etiquette - technically we ARE married (legally) we got legally married a few weeks ago for insurance reasons - but the wedding is still planned for next year... :)
(only my parents, our best friends, and my insurance company know)
as for the tutorial - I sure will! give me a few days though... :)
If you want to keep people from finding out, I wouldn't write it like that. I like the pocketfold. Good work.
I think she's obviously already told her guests...
those are very pretty!! And I can't believe they were so inexpensive, they certainly don't look cheap!
They look great! You did that in an afternoon?! I feel like such a slacker. Great job :)
@Mighty...she just said that only her parents and her insurance company knows. Also, she worded it like it was a real wedding, instead of a vow renewal.
i think they look great! How long did it take to design? Did you design it all in one afternoon? I am super impressed.
I think it only took me about an hour to make the one...to tell the truth - the design itself (for the most part) was "stolen" from my matron of honor's invites...I sent the pics to her and she LOVES them and is very flattered that I took the idea of her design (with some changes, of course as hers were not in pocketfolds and hers didn't have the little diamonds either...plus the graphic on the side and front were mine in photoshop.
But she loves them and can't wait to help me make all 100 of them! hahaha.
seriously though - I figure the wedding invites should be sent next february...so between now and then if we do about 25 per batch we can get 100 of them done! :)
But since this first one took me about an hour - that included figuring out the exact measurements and creating the template...if we make all the others (cutting everything first) it hopefully shouldn't take <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic">as long...but we'll see.
I know I'd be SO happy to do all 100 for under $60. (course that's not including shipping/handling) good news is, though, they fit in REGULAR envelopes!!

I have to say, they look more expensive than they are and you can't beat that price! If you are happy with it, I say go for it! At the end of the day, it sucks because of all our hard work, but they do end up in the trash, so it's VERY smart of you to be so budget conscious...GREAT JOB!

Ok, so i'm home from work today because i got pre-work done for a crown on my tooth (ouch!! :( )
so anyways...I stopped by hobby lobby and got some scrapbooking paper and came home and made an invitation...(i was feelin' motivated! lol)
I like them - but my issue is that there's just SOOO many really cool invitation sites out there and I LOVE the invitations I see on those sites....HOWEVER. I've already decided #1 to DIY my invitations and #2 I want to try and keep my invitation budget for 100 under $75 - if not $60 (yes, I know that's impossible if I were to buy them.
Well - going off of my matron of honor's invitation (which I kept from her wedding). I made these:
Please tell me if you like them. And yes, I did make it into a pocketfold. :P
