Hi there. I’m a newbie…..who’s biggest fear for my wedding is dress shopping.
i was a 5’5″, size 0 pre- child, and five years later I have an entirely different body. Age and baby, and the fact that I’m not a gym rat lol….
anyway, I’ve been terrified to dress shop, but have fallen in love with this dress.
the pic shows a terrible fit at the top (dress was wide open in the back….the only one they had in that color to try on was 6 sizes too small….but I did try it another color color in a larger size before this, so imagine I am all pulled togethto up top.
Honest opinions, please? Would really appreciate 🙂

I love it, but it’s hard to tell since it’s not fitted. Give a try to some dresses that have a full bodice, the kind that go all the way to the top of your hip bones to lengthen your upper body. You look like you have a teeny natural waist/hourlglass shape and this dress hides it a little. Women aspire to the hourglass, so show yours off!! Good luck in your dress shopping, have fun with it! 🙂

I agree with a PP, this dress doesn’t show off the beautiful figure that you obviously have. I like the skirt, but the width of the band is not flattering in my opinion because your waist is in actuality so much smaller, and the band makes the top of the skirt poof out directly on your hips rather than gradually widen from the band to your hips to your thighs to your knees and then to the floor.
Also, I’m not so sure about the straight-across neckline on you. I think you would be stunning in a sweetheart neckline to really elongate the top of your torso/shoulders/neck.
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL and you have a FANTASTIC shape! There will be a dress out there that makes you recognize that!!!

Thank you guys for your responses…..the band is optional, so that’s good. I’m concerned that the picture is deceiving…I do not have a beautiful figure. I’m very busty, and gain weight in the tummy first. Every dress that I like the bottom part, the top makes me look MORE busty. to have yet to find a dress I really like that goes down to my hips….they all seem to make the bottoms too full, if that makes since.
In theory, I agree with the sweetheart neckline….you will never see me with something this high cut on a day to day basis….always check or lower cut (but still full coverage). The reason I liis because because when I was all puloctet together in the larger size, different color, it really minimized my bust, which is something I NEED, for my own comfort. My bust is so disproportional to my body!!
Thank you so much for input ladies!
