Alright bees, I need help! I fell in love with two dresses. The first one is a rare Annais – I can’t seem to find it online anywhere. Annais AN13-014 to be exact. The second one is a Pronovais Liere. I also liked the Pronovais Duende (for those who are familiar).
The run down: Annais is a sample and fits perfectly. However, i’m not sure if I like the tulle at the bottom, I wanted more dimension/texture than it has. it seems cheap-ish looking, and that is something that cannot be corrected by a seamstress (although a seamstress did say they could add layers to the tulle). I love the top but I don’t want a tulle bottom that looks cheap, and in real life it does have a cheap netting feel about it. I would also remove the appliques.
The Pronovais Liere is gorgeous but more expensive, and a smaller train… I’m indifferent about the beading but my mom LOVED the beading on it. I did feel sassier in it, and loved it, but the circular beading was just okay to me. But I loved the bottom.
Frankly if I could combine the two I would be so happy!
I’m having a modern, funky ballroom wedding with lots of uplighting and colors (pink/peach/fuchsia/black/gold).
Dress two (note, it was large and would be much more fitted if I went with this one):

@daysiee: I vote Pronovias! Much more beautiful, in my opinion. I love the brand in general as well.

I like the first one, I dont think it looks cheap.
I don’t like the beading on the second and the flare seems a bit awkward.

I vote for dress #2. The beading is awesome and the skirt is fun too. Plus the fabric and construction appears to be far more on point than the other dress.
Dress #1’s tulle and skirt is a hot hot hot mess. Those appliques are fuuugly. I agree that the tulle looks cheap and I don’t know if adding more tulle would make it look ok.

@daysiee: The Provinias one is really WOW! But I have to say that these still photos emphasize how the beading on the front of the dress works with the organza coming out in the middle to emphasize– how to put this delicately ?–your lady parts region. It looks like big arrows pointing there, to me.
That could just be a function of the photos. If your mom thinks it is ok, it’s ok!

LOL thanks everyone, the opinions are mixed and so are mine! I think it’s just going to take another round of trying on, perhaps solo.

@daysiee: I like dress one better!

Both dresses are stunning and I can see why you are struggling to chose. Personally, I’d go with dress two, as it sounds like it fits in with the modern, flunky feel you want to have for your day.
I think the beading will pick up on all the lighting your planning on having. I also like the skirt more. It’s also slightly more flattering as it flares out from a point lower on your legs, and tapers from a central point. It has the effect of giving you a longer leaner look.

@daysiee: Both look amazing on you — but I like the second one best, plus I think it goes better with your theme. What I do suggest is put a poll in your post… it will make it easier for you to track what the Bee’s opinion is.

I like the second one, but i would agree, that a mix of both were brilliant … 😉

Based on what you said you disliked about dress1 and what you hoped for , Dress 2 is the better choice. Once fitted to your body it will be beyond Gorge!
