Oh gosh Hun all this stress in week 1??

I probaby have enough points and vacay pay for an almost free trip to Ireland. My ultimate dream was getting married in a castle there. OMFG *SWOON*. That’s my super secret ultimate fairy princess wedding dream.

People are silly and never satisfied. I think this is the perfect compromise.

People give unsolicited opinions b/c think they’re all super smart. 😀

If anyone else asks, tell them it’s a surprise.

Your wedding sounds completely rad, by the way!

@Bettyboo1982:  Off to the passport office!  Never been to Ireland so count on it.  Is it customary to register there?  🙂

@Bettyboo1982:  What you’re planning sounds awesome and fun to me.  Are people being critical or maybe just trying to misguidedly help?

@Bettyboo1982:  That sounds awesome! We just got married on a farm that had a mechanical bull, gladiator area, boxing ring, and BYOB, we wanted a casual affair so said wear jeans and be happy. We even had birthday cake and pinatas for the kids whose birthdays were nearby. Also our reception was in a BBQ joint. I had a lot of people commenting on how different it was and were we sure, blah blah, but I didnt care, its what hubby and I wanted. Then after the wedding people had so much fun that they are still talking about it.

@TraLo:  OH MY GOD MECHANICAL BULL!!! Ive never been on one, I would have been on that thing SO fast!

Hmmm my wedding ideas are starting to feel seriously lame. The coolest idea I had was destination wedding to Mexico to party hard but nooooo it’s too expensive even with 2 years notice, blah blah blah. No one would come. *pout* Basically everyone but my best friend killed that idea.

@MrsGolden2Bee:  I think you should do whatever makes you and FI happy. Ultimately your going to be the ones that remember your wedding forever and it should be suited to you. I’d say do a destination wedding if you want too. People are always going to say that its to expensive because they would probably rather be given a free meal, but for those that really want to celebrate with you they will Pony up the money and have a great time. Besides if you have out of town guests travelling from afar they might as well get a hot vacation out of it. I think you’d have people go if you said what you were doing and didnt change your mind. The last thing you want is to be like, I wish we had of just done *blank* its your special day, make it perfect!

@TraLo:  I totally agree with you. And it’s not too late. I mean he hasnt even proposed yet (omg I know right!?) lol no I’m not crazy we are just doing things a bit backwards due to odd unforseen circumtances. We even already picked a date. But no we are NOT engaged or solidifying any plans until he full on proposes.

But once that happens then ya, we will have to pick a plan and STICK to it.

@Bettyboo1982:  haha, my dad has something to say about opinions… In that they’re like assholes. Everyone has one, and they’re often full of…

Your wedding idea sounds lovely, and I’m sure it will work out great! People in the UK tend to be a little more traditional with how a wedding ‘should’ go, and sometimes panic a bit when things are different. I’m currently holding firm on the fact that I want to wear coloured shoes, but my mother respectfully disagrees. We’ll see, mater, we’ll see.
