Not everyone’s does, but mine had a definite “fade-in/out” effect, usually starting to fade in 2-3 days before it was a definite positive, and fading back out over a day or two.

I had a REALLY long cycle this month and didn’t ovulate until CD31 (a special kind of hell) so I saw light lines from around CD12 to CD27 – CD28 was darker, CD29 was finally darker than the control, and CD30 was even darker again.

It’s funny, I’ve been using them for 3 cycles now, and to start with I am always like “is this a positive?” until I actually SEE a positive, and then they have been crystal clear. I know some people have problems reading them though.

@Sigyn:  i started using them too when I was worried I wasn’t ovulating – i’ve used them for three cycles now and i have every cycle, but at very unpredictable times. If you want to see a positive, I posted one at the bottom of page 3 or 4, or maybe 5, of the June POAS club. good luck!
