For the past year, I’ve used OPK’s towards the middle of my cycle to see if they would work (and to try to find my cycle’s patterns for when we are TTC). My cycle is between 30-32 days long, so I start using the OPK’s on cycle day 10 or 12. Usually up until day 14 or 15, I will get a faint line beside the control, so I know they are negative. Usually on day 14 or 15, I will get a dark positive. However, when I pee on an OPK the day after my positive, I will get what looks like a negative again. Is this normal? To only get one positive day? I thought I read somewhere that you could get several positive days? I usually test in the afternoon/early evening. I also noticed that from about cycle day 14-16 I get pinching pains in my ovaries, it usually alternates sides each month so I am guessing that is ovulation pains (the pinching stops after about 2 days)? I just want to make sure I am using these OPK’s correctly…I’ve looked it up online numerous times but sometimes I feel like maybe I am missing something!
