Mine are stark white until the day I ovulate and then it’s realllllly dark. Just be patient. I test starting CD 8 though just to make sure I don’t miss it.

Mine only started getting darker like two-three days before my positive. Keep testing, and make sure you don’t use them first thing in the morning. Also, as far as fertility friend, it was never correct with my O dates until I had three months of temping and using OPKs.

@anonymous678:  I’ll add that I take two a day. I take one around noon and then one when I get home from work at 5pm.

I don’t ovulate until around CD20, so mine are stark white, and obviously negative until about CD18! Then they slowly get darker until BAM, +++  🙂  The test line has to be as dark or DARKER then the control. Good luck!

I’m going to echo Birdee106 and say to use them twice a day! If you have a short surge, you might miss it if you aren’t testing at least every 12 hours.

@anonymous678:  I would always test twice daily – 7am and 7pm. Mine always looked exactly like yours most days of my cycle, then I’d get a darker but not positive at 7am one day, a definite positive that night and the next morning, then back to very negative by 7pm on day 2. Just keep peeing on the sticks! Your first +OPK is a very exciting experience! 🙂

They don’t necessarily get progressively darker.  When they detect your surge they will suddenly be darker, at least that’s what happens with me.

I agree. Test twice daily so you don’t miss your surge. Also mine never fade darker. Just light then BAM! GL
