Hello all!

I am having my reception in an old warehouse, so I wanted colors to brighten things up.  I didn't think I'd be able to do custom color table cloths because or costs, but I discovered linentablecloth.com and they were having a 50% off sale on all clearance items, so I couldn't resist.  I purchased 20 120" round burnt orange tablecloths and and red organza overlays plus another 6 85" burnt orange tablecloths.  

My problem is that the table cloths are too large.  We are doing a tapas reception instead of a sit down, sort of like a cocktail reception, but with more food.  Between tables, high tops and bar space, we have enough seating for everyone, but we will not have assigned seating or a formal sit down dinner.  The tables are just there as an option for people who do want to sit while eating (ie, older people and kids), but we know we will have a lot of people who will not even leave the bar area.  To create a more intimate setting, I'm doing 36" table that will seat 6 instead of the traditional 60" 8-10 tops.  However, it was cheaper to buy the 120" tablecloths that are traditionally for 60" tables, than it was to buy the 96" tablecloths that would fit my tables.  I also really want to try to resell the tablecloths after the wedding to help balance my budget. 

So I guess I have two options for the tablecloths...

1. I can cut an hem the tablecloths to 96" which would lay right to the floor on my 36" tables. However, I think they would then be harder to re-sell as they would only have a 18" drop off of a traditional 60" table.   Of course, I suppose an 18" drop could make a nice overlay, instead of a full tablecloth. 

2. I could figure out a way to temporarily hem the table cloths, so that I could then let the hems out after the wedding and sell them as 120" tablecloths.  However, I have no idea how I would do this without a ridiculously large hem that would just look silly.

So, hive...what do you think?  Just cut them to what i need and don't stress so much about ruining their re-sale value or figure out a way to temporarily hem them to preserve their re-sale value.  And If I do go with option two, how would I do this?

ps...I attached pictures of the tablecloth and overlay...I put them on my kitchen table to see how they looked in real life.  I used my phone's camera, so the color is a little off...my appologies
