Weddingbee boards

Sooo, my wedding ring jumped in a hole at the beginning of December.  It was a 5-stone that had been recently reset to combine a solataire (previously in a wide half bezel) and a 5-stone prong band.  The solitaire was about .6, the band was 1.0 total so .2 each.  I have a single .2 loose because I couldn't figure out how to make a 6-stone ring when one was bigger than the others.  Anyway, I had the resetting done in July '10 and this past December, just before my 15th anniversary, it jumped in hole and I can't retrieve it.  I know where it is so I'm relatively okay...but I just cant get it back without a whole lot of tearing out of cabinets. 

So I've been quietly walking around with just a white gold band since December.  I don't mind the look but I do miss my sparkle.   Sooooo, I thought to myself, what an awesome opportunity to have a moissanite!!  I've been drooling and intrigued by moissanite since they came on the scene but had no real reason to buy one.  But now..heh, heh, heh!  So I've ordered a 1.25 ct tiffany reproduction in palladium from BTD.  I'm excited.  Hubby's amused. 

Has anyone else ordered completed rings from BTD?  Does it really take 4 weeks?!  What exactly am I supposed to do with myself for 4 weeks???

Here're are pics of the progression.  The first two are the rings when they were separate.  These are pics of the actual rings but ones I found online that look the same.  I combined them for a change of pace.  Combined, it looked like the first one except the center stone was bigger than the rest.

Thanks cupcake!  I just read Debbie's post that she's not satisfied with her moissy from MoCo. Im very nervous now!

I had calmed down a bit but now I'm really excited because my order status has change from 'Awaiting fulfillment' to 'In Setting'...I don't even know what that means!!!!  I guess they're literally setting the stone?!

@starla:  I've thought the same thing re: enhanced v unenhanced..I like a little warmth so I hope its not too white.  I wanted something very simple that I could pair with my band (maybe) or with anything else that might catch my eye so I think I'm going to absolutely love the repro. 

@Jade:  I got the Amora moissanite from BTD so I hope its awesome.  Debbie's thread did scare me but I'm hoping it was a dud.  I haven't seen her post pics or updates yet.

You can believe I'll have a HUGE number of pictures posted once it gets here.

Order status update:  shipped!!!!  

Yep, I'm super excited.....the delivery date is set for Tuesday by end of day so expect pictures by Wednesday!!   I'm not too worried about the color as a little warmth doesn't bother me.  I'm more worried about potential dead spots in the center of the stone. 

Ive been wavering a little bit because I also want that Amora gemstone thats going to be cut to H&A standards but it's going to be awhile before its available in the USA and I'm just not that patient. 

arrrgghh!  i missed the UPS man!  @#$%^&* soccer practice...grrrrr!

Pics of the Amora Moissanite ring ordered from BTD. These are iPad pics and videos. I'll try to upload better today...I had to hunt down the UPS guy last night so I didn't ave time/opportunity to do better!  Ignore the flashes of the security tag on the ring and any indicators of less than stellar housekeeping!  Feelfree to compliment me on my sparkly nail polish...my daughter turns 6 today so we had girl time yesterday!

Overall I think it's absolutely beautiful!  It's 1.25 set in palladium. It's the Tiffany reproduction set so there's a knife edge which I wasn't sure I'd like. I think I do like it though. The band is lovely as well. The quality is great, no complaints. I think it may be too big for my finger...i wonder if the 1.0 would suit me better. The husband says it looks great and that I should keep it.  He thinks I just need to get used to it.  

For those who like the comparison, I have a couple of pics that include my current 5-stone which is diamond.  I think it looks very white...there are flashes of warmth which I love!  No deadness in the center.  It's a beautiful, beautiful ring!  The more I look at it...cause, yeah, I have it on!....the more I think it belongs!  

As a FYI, when I wear it, I'd put it on left hand with my othethat's a RHR.
