I’ve never posted pictures here before, so I hope I do it right, but I just have to share that I ordered my dress!! I am so, so excited. I am having an outdoor wedding in December, and my mom suggested I might want a dress with sleeves. That is not what I was envisioning, but I tried this one on for her, and I FELL IN LOVE. What do you think??? It’s hard to see in this picture, but the lace overlay goes just past the waist, and then there’s also lace around the hem. 🙂
OK here are my questions – would love feedback on accessories!
1. First and most importantly – veil or no veil? And what kind of veil do you think would work with this dress? (FYI, I have short hair – past chin-length, but above my shoulders, and I’ll be getting married a week shy of my 35th birthday – yikes.)
2. I’m thinking of wearing my grandma’s mink stole (in the last pic) – what do you think? Do you think it works with this dress?
3. What color shoes do you think I should do? Our colors are jewel tones of purple and blue, so I was thinking navy shoes, but then I was also thinking maybe gray to match the stole?
Here’s the front:
And here’s the back (this is just the sample, so it doesn’t quite button up at the top, but it will…_:
And THIS is my grandmother’s mink stole, which I’m thinking of wearing on my wedding day (disregard the dress you can see in this pic – it’s not THE dress):
Thanks everyone for your help! Ordering the dress is MONUMENTAL, right? 🙂

Your gown left me breathless. Timeless and lovely!
Mine has a sweetheart neckline with off-the-shoulder cap sleeves. I’ll be sporting a dainty pearl necklace my Future Mother-In-Law passed down to me along with her pearl stud earrings, topping it off with a delicate pearl bracelet. Didn’t want the jewelry to distract from the dress at all, so I carefully thought it out.
With your gown, I’d suggest to keep it simple and pair it with a glamorous set of earrings and a delicate bracelet to keep everything in balance. Best wishes!

I love love love this dress – the sleeves are so beautiful and I love the idea of wearing your grandma’s stole! You look beautiful – like a model from a magazine – it fits you so so well! 🙂
I would also think maybe grey shoes, and I would have to see the navy with the dress but maybe it would be a little strong? Or maybe ivory, champagne, or silver?
I think you could definitely have a beautiful finger-tip veil but maybe a very sheer veil so people focus more on the dress, or you can get them hemmed with lace and I’m sure you could find one that matches the lacy sleeves on your dress.

Amazing dress!I would go with grey or purple shoes . Definetely no veil, to make sure nothing takes away from the dress and the beautiful sleeves.

Maybe a lace clip in your hair to pick up the lace in the dress. Yes to wearing your Grandmothers stole. Silver shoes would be cute.

you look so gorgeous!! the mink goes perfectly and I think you’re ok with whatever color shoes you choose…maybe tie it in with something in your hair or your earings. I wouldn’t wear a necklace with this, maybe big statement studs! As for the veil, I vote no. I like them but sometimes they take away from the dress the lines on yours are so clean and perfect, why mess with it! ugh, seriously, great choice

Beautiful, classic dress!! Have you thought about a birdcage veil? It has that vintage look to it that would work really well I think, especially with the amazing stole.

Your dress is stunning and so unique 🙂

You look stunning! Definitely the stole; your something old…
Hmm. I would only do a single layer veil, very sheer, and perhaps only shoulder length. Or, nothing at all. That dress (with your figure) doesn’t need anything to draw attention away from it.
I wouldn’t go with navy shoes; I think something very light (silver, grey, champagne satin).

Stunning dress, my goodness. I would not wear colored shoes with this dress. It’s so delicate and etheral looking – keep it relatively monochromatic. Navy or purple shoes would be too harsh a contrast. Gray shoes would be nice.
If you do a veil, I would go for a simple, delicate single layer veil – no lace.
I think the stole looks nice, just obviously not to wear down the aisle because you don’t want to cover up the gorgeous top half of your dress.

You look STUNNING! I am in love with this dress on you! For veil, I agree – a fingertip veil, but something super sheer, will look lovely! And, usually I’m a fan of colored shoes, but I think I agree that something neutral and super refined would look just gorgeous with your dress. And yes, the mink is beautiful!!
Welcome to WB! Looks like you’re not too far from me (Redwood City)! 😀

Gorgeous dress!! I would definitely wear a veil, because, you really only get to do that on your wedding day, right? I’d do a simple chappel length.
