Just ecstatic because I got a call from the shop I purchased the dress from and they were recommending/asking if I wanted to order a size down from the original size I ordered!
When I tried on the dress to show my mom in late February, the sample size didn’t fit.. it was held in the back by clips because it would barely zip up…huge space to go before the top. When I tried on the dress again at the beginning of April (about a month ago) it zipped, but not all the way up (probably a couple inches to the top). This is when they took my measurements and I placed my order for a size 12 Marisa 815 gown.
When i tried it on again late April.. it zipped up!! I couldn’t believe it! I went to try it on again because the store was having an accessories trunk show and I wanted to try it on with the veil I was considering purchasing.
The nice ladies at the shop called today asking if I wanted to order a 10 instead of a 12 since the sample in the store fit! Heck yeah!
I’m still planning on hopefully using about 7-10 more pounds esp since I’d like my arms to look a lot better in that dress.. but I’m so ecstatic that I’m seeing positive results. That call from them came at the right time too, I’ve been starting to feel blah and less motivated lately and this totally helps!
Thanks for letting me blabber! 🙂

That’s so great, you will feel amazing on your wedding day! I ordered my dress a size smaller to begin with and it’s not quite fitting yet and it’s making me nervous with the wedding a month and a half away! I have lost 15 pounds, but probably need to lose at least 10 more- what are you doing to get fit?

congrats! That is so exciting and impressive the store was paying enough attention to notice you could go a size down!

Thanks so much, girls! Its definitely helping to keep me motivated!!
@BelleoftheNorth: Awesome job on losing the 15!!! The first month of dieting I completely cut out carbs and most sugars (minus fruit and the occasional kettle corn!) and then since then I’m just doing things in moderation. If I go out to eat a lot one night, then the next day I stay real good. Still not eating as much bread and pasta as I used to though. :(.. but I do have cheat days. haha! For exercise I do the Bar Method DVDs — LOVE THEM. I really do think they help a lot!

Congratulations! My dress was a size too small, and I remember how good (and motivating) it felt when it zipped.
@BelleoftheNorth: I watched my calories like crazy. Once a week I let myself either have a reasonable dessert or alcohol–no other sweets or alcohol during the week. Lots of salads! I used the 30 day shred video about 3 times a week. I tried to do more, but that didn’t always happen.
