Oh the same old - i'm a nursing student and it's a tedious major with endless waiting lists....especially in my area...which is why i'm moving to pittsburgh - to live with my future husband and all the oppurtunities. They have a ton of nursing schools. =)
my parents just think i should have already graduated...they both also think i should be an interior designer...but nursing is my calling and my dream since i was little...not something easily ignored - nor something you can change for someone.
I love it! Looks great! Sorry that your mom doesn't like it. Oh and for some reason my mom wanted me to order a bigger size too!! I am not sure what is up with that! I usually wear a size 4 dress, my measurements for Justin Alexander dresses worked out to be a size 6 (European size) and my mom wanted me to order an 8!!

I think that dress is gorgeous and it looks amazing on you! I love all of the wave patterns, it reminds me of the art deco style. Why on earth did you order a 4?! Can you change your order back to a 2? I would. Not only are less alterations less $$, but it also keeps the dress looking like it was intended to look.

I understand struggles with momma better than I wish...my dress was one of the few things we DIDNT butt heads about...but I think your mom will move on from it in time...and can I also just affirm you that they are way off!! Seriously, the dress is incredible...and you look fabulous in it! Sorry that you weren't able to fully enjoy that, but know on your wedding day when you slip into it, you'll have that dress excitement all over again!

I can't imagine not loving that dress on you. It is fabulous and perfect. You know you can call the shop and change it to a 2 if you want without a problem. You have to be careful with something so detailed, because the alterations remove detail. Maybe your mom is just a little blue about something else and she is projecting on your dress.

You look great in that dress. The other pic you posted - the girl still looks pretty good, it's just not as flattering in the hips. The layers aren't lying flat either, which doesn't help - if that's what the dress does after a few hours I might worry, or I might just take it to the cleaners and make sure it's well pressed.

Hey, first off I love your dress! Second, I just ordered the same one about a month ago LOL! I wanted to know if you've had your wedding yet and if so, could you send me some pictures from your wedding with you in the dress? I have loved this dress forever and I am scared it is not going to look right!! I'm sure it will be fine. It doesn't come in until February and the sample I tried on was about 8 sizes too big so I didn't get a great idea of what it will look like after it's made to fit me. I'm....somewhat excited today.
My excitement for ordering the dress i love was marred by both my parents questioning my career...or rather questioning ME. I grow so tired of this that i HATE that it's the thing that brought me down today.
With that mini-vent out....here's some pics of me in my dress =)
(also, i must add that this dress fit me like a glove and it's a size 2....but my mom made me order a size 4...which I told her she would pay out the nose for the alterations. Oh well.)
