You could ask Allure yourself but I would take Netbrides answer. They probably do this quite a bit. Personally, I don't like the wide corset look so I would get the size 8 you fit into.
Well my first thought is that you need to go get a size based on your largest measurment. Even if the corset adds some room in the waist and chest, its not going to make the hips any bigger, so if you do end up ordering a smaller size, make sure your hips will still fit and you can walk and sit and stuff.
I think generally when a zipper back is converted to a corset, they take out more fabric to allow for the laces and it doesn't change the size of the dress. I'd just get the 8.
I would stick with the 8. I also ordered from Netbride and I do feel like they definitely know what they are talking about.
You guys all make good points. OK, I'm going to remeasure myself tonight to be sure and pull the trigger - YIKES!!!
Thanks for the advise!

First things first - I've chosen my dress!!!
I'll be ordering Allure 2252 from NetBrides but have a question about the size. I asked the rep at NetBrides but am not totally sold on his response, so I'm hoping some Allure bees can help.
According to the size chart I'm an 8. When I talked to a seamstress about converting a zipper to a corset in general, she said to order a dress a size smaller BUT since Allure will be doing the converting themselves I'm not sure if they'll send me a lace-up back with the same measurements as what their size 8 should be or if they'll take a zipper size 8 and add a corset, effectively making my dress a 10 (which I'll have to pay to get made smaller again).
The Netbrides response was: The dimensions of the dress aren’t going to change with a lace up back, the lace up just gives you some flexibility- with a zipper it has to zip, with the lacing you can have it a little wider or narrower. If you want to order a size smaller than you measure, then the lacing will be wider in the back and if there’s a modesty panel you may have to adjust it in some way or it could be too small. It is totally up to you if you want to order a different size because of the lace up back- that is a personal preference.
To me that sounds like a stock answer, not an I-asked-Allure-and-they-said answer. If we're just talking converting lace-up to corset, a seamstress already gave me conflicting information. What's a girl to do???
Have any other Allure brides had their zipper changed to a corset? How did you handle size ordering? I need to place this order by tomorrow morning, so I appreciate any insight!!
