The actual store in NYC doesn’t have a good reputation. If you want to use them though, I would strongly recommend buying in the store and never online, no matter what store it comes from. I had 2 brides see THE dress online and they both bought the dresses…and now they are stuck with dresses they hate that look nothing like the ones online.

Dress shopping should always be done in person. Spend the extra $42 and stay off the online site 🙂

As long as you’ve tried on the dresses in person, I wouldn’t hesitate to shop with them.  Pearl’s Place in Louisiana is also a good place to get bridesmaids dresses cheaper.  I think my cousin said hers were $75 cheaper than a bridal shop in San Francisco.

The shopping experience at the store is a little hectic and frenzied, because they literally have thousands of dresses and you’re expected to sift through them yourself.  It can be really overwhelming.  It’s a totally legit place though and they were always nice when I shopped there.

I purchased an Alfred Sung bridesmaid dress in August 2012 through RK’s online ordering system on the recommendation of a coworker and it worked just fine.  I got my dress quickly and it was in great shape.  I was a bridesmaid in several weddings last year, so I was pretty familiar with my size in the Alfred Sung line so I didn’t really have to worry about sizing.  I’d recommend them.

I bought my Alvina Valenta dress for my sisters wedding from their store in NYC. They arent glamorous or very good with their customer service, but they have great prices and a good alterations department.

As a bridesmaid, I’ve ordered dresses from RK Bridal twice in the past, with absolutely no problems.

As a bride, I am buying our (Watters) flower dress from them, and possibly two of our bridesmaid (Alfred Sung) dresses also – depending on if they are cheaper than NetBridal.

I actually went in there in person over the holidays, and they were very helpful and friendly. I am not sure how they got such a bad rep.

I’m also thinking about getting my bm dresses from RK Bridal.

I’ve been there before and had a couple of my bm’s try on dresses there. I’m opting for the “no frills” pricing which doesn’t include measurements. So basically you pick your own size with no help from them. Also, I believe they have a price match (5% of lower price.)

My only concern is that it’s going to be a final sale. So if we need to exchange it or change the size, we can’t.

RK Bridal has mixed reviews. I would give it mixed reviews myself. Some of the staff are GREAT! So helpful and nice (mostly in the bm department.) Others… not so much. Especially the managers. They’re pushy and rude. The bridal consultants are a mised bunch as well… some are helpful and others are just trying to make a sale and you can tell. BUT when you go to a warehouse type place and the prices are so low, I guess you can’t complain too much. I mean they’re still getting my business~ 😛

I am a long time lurker and a first time poster.

I ordered my Dessy bridesmaids dresses, junior bridesmaids dresses and Watters flower girl dresses through the no-frills program at RK and can’t say enough GREAT things about them.  The dresses even came in 3 weeks before they said they would!

I was able to take my girls to RK to try on styles and then we used the No Frills ordering.

It saved 40% off of the cost of the dresses but does not include alterations.  Each of my girls will get their alterations done on their own through their trusted tailors.

If you have tried on the styles and you are 100% about what you are ordering, they are FANTASTIC!

The service and prices were so great that I even went back with my FMIL and she got her Mother Of dress through them!

I decided to use them after having HORRIBLE service at local bridal boutiques and a nightmare experience ordering through Kleinfeld’s as a bridesmaid.

@cmbr:  Did you end up buying your dresses from them?  If so, how did they turn out?  I am also considering them to save my bridesmaids money.

@csoon2bemrsbaxter I ordered a bridesmaid dress from RKBridal for a wedding I was in.  They are a reputable company and extremely helpful.  WHen the UPS guy decided to not knock on my door any of the times he tried to deliver and sent the package back, the people at RK bridal were extremely helpful in getting the dress overnighted to me again and I received it in great condition.  I know the bridesmaids for this wedding were form all over the country and out of 8 of us no one had a problem.  Hope this helps!
