I've been thinking of doing the same. I know that costco and sam's club also have centerpiece and wedding packages. The prices are soooo tempting. And I've also thought about getting the centerpieces and then ordering some high end flowers to add to the arrangements to make them a little less cookie cutter.
Let me know how it goes for you!
So long as you've had good experience with them. But I would also check with your venue. The only issue I've had with online arrangments is that you can't guarantee a specific time for them to be delivered. They give you a window or by a certain time.
Are you planning on having them delivered to your venue? Or your house? If you have them delivered to your house, I would get them delivered the day before and then you'll have them to take with you. I would worry that if you arranged to have them delivered to the venue on the day of, who will accept the order for you? Can your venue do that for you?
What about buying plants from a florist, in leiu of arrangements? Or doing something simple in a jar? You can make arrangements the day or two before, they keep well if you keep them hydrated and somewhere cool, like a basement. Just like you would put a prom corsage in the fridge to keep for a day or two.
Good luck with whatever you choose!

We were thinking of DIYing centerpieces but worried about the hassle of having to go out shop for flowers and set them up in the hectic time before the wedding. As an alternative, I thought of ordering arrangements online (someplace like Proflowers.com) and having them delivered the morning of the wedding. They would come all arranged with vases and we could just put them on the tables (we only have 8 tables so this seems v. manageable to me). It's also a fraction of what a florist would cost.
I've never heard of anyone doing something like this so wanted to check with all of you. Has anyone gotten flowers online? Can you think of any potential pitfalls? I've used proflowers to send people bouquets before and always got beautiful, high quality flowers.
