Our linens need to be ordered ASAP to lock in the colors. I can’t decide what to go for. Help???
The reception is at a Legion hall, but the walls of memorabilia are being hidden by a pipe and drape system, in white. Dinner tables are all round, chairs are white wooden folding. Accessory tables (food, guest book, place card, gifts, dessert buffet, dj) are all rectangle. Cake table is round.
My colors are soft (baby) pink and navy. Classic, clean lines is the “theme”. Centerpieces are a single vase of peruvian lilies, in one color per table, but all in pinks.
For the tables: Pink Tablecloths with Navy Napkins, or Navy Tablecloths with Pink Napkins????
For the cake table: Pintuck or regular, pink or navy? Cake is three tiers, white buttercream with pink sugar flowers, and will be “floating” on a wreath of baby’s breath.
Cons to both colors: Pink might make it seem like a girls baby shower. Navy, against the white walls, might seem too much like black in the pictuers. However, the wedding is during the day, and the room is very bright. Overlays and toppers are out of budget, and I really don’t want a mirror under the centerpiece.

I voted for the navy tablecloths with pink napkins. I personally would just like pink more as an accent color. When you say “classic, clean lines” I think a color like navy seems to fit better as a main color. Maybe I’m just biased because we’re using navy as our main color with yellow, and I found that the yellow popped better as a secondary color rather than the primary one. Maybe the pink would be the same? I don’t know.
hope this helps 🙂

I voted for navy tablecloths and pink napkins. Also navy for the cake table. I’m thinking pink accents would look really nice with the navy. It might be too much pink if you have all pink tablecloths. I’d go for the navy instead.

Thanks everyone! I am ordering the tablecloths in navy, and napkins in pink. I asked Fiance and my mom right before the poll, and they both said navy as well, I was the lone wolf, so thank you for making my decision easy!

Too late for my opinion to count, but I also voted for navy. Your flowers will stand out more.

Thanks Julies! And it’s never too late for an opinion to count!

I voted navy tableclothes, but I’d use white napkins to match the chairs, and then bring in pink accents with the centerpieces, table numbers, and menus.
