I still have not ordered mine yet. I know exactly what I am getting and where I am getting it from...I am just waiting on the monetary part. Have you ladies ordered yours yet? If so, when? If not, when will you?

How much longer do you need to way for the money?  Do you need only a certain amount down or full payment?  I'm getting married in September and where I bought my dress I've heard that some girls are having a hard time being able to get their desired dress in on time for September. I would find out when's the last possible day you could order so you don't run into a problem.

My wedding is in Oct. and I was told my dress could take up to 3-4 months, so I ordered it in February. I didn't want to take any chances (allowing enough time for alterations or other unforseen events), but it came in very early. I just picked it up this past weekend.

Order yours as soon as possible. It depends on the dress, it can take up to a year, but most dresses take at least 6 months. I know I onl had to put 50% down to order and then paid the rest when it came in. I would talk to the bridal shop and a lot of times they are willing to work with you.

I ordered it this past Sunday! I wish it didn't take so long for dresses to come in though!

I am getting my online, so I need the full cost. They said it should only take a few weeks. I just want to get it ASAP, so that I can get it altered. The only thing I need done is to have the top taken in a bit.

I think a lot of it depends on how long it takes to get from the designer. For mori lee I was told it would take 4 months and for maggie sottero I was told the greater part of 5 months. I got a maggie and am getting married in November 2010. My dress is expected in August so that leaves some time ( about 2 months) for alterations and such. the hardest part is making the plunge and then having to wait! i just want it, to touch it, see it  and try it on! ugggh such is life though. Patience is virtue. My fiance says I should pick up fishing, that I'll learn a lot of patience from that lol.

I ordered mine in October 09 for my October 2010 wedding and it isn't scheduled to be here until MAY! The waiting is killing me! So if you are ordering from the designer it could take up to 7 months.

My bridal salon told me that it takes about 16wks for a dress to come in, and I guess add on an extra 2 wks for alterations...but that being said I've heard that you should give yourself 6months to order you dress, to be on the safe side.

My dress took only 3 months to come in (1 month earlier than they said), but my best friend's dress took 7 months (2 months late). Hers is a Maggie Sottero.

I ordered my wedding dress in Jan, which is 12 months before my wedding

It wont arrive until end of May...  I dont know why it takes 4 months to make/ship a "mass produced" weddinng dress!  not like i'm getting something specially made for me by that particular designer.

You should order early, get it over with since the wait time is so long.

I plan on ordering mine next week after I try on a few styles in the store just to make sure I am certain about the online style I want. The seller online for my dress says it can take up to 60 days for me to receive the dress once I order. I definitely wouldnt go past April just so you have a piece of mind though.

I'm going to the only city in the tri-state area that will have the dress to order it in two weeks. Yay! They are getting the dress on March 30, so I'll be there that weekend to try it on and order it. :)
