Oregon Coast Aquarium---been to/had a wedding there?

Hi sister bees. It just dawned on me that the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport might be a good location for our wedding, or for just our reception. Have any of you been to a wedding or other event there?

I have been to the aquarium a few times but not since I was thinking wedding. Any thoughts?

what a cool oregon venue! I can't say i have any helpful ideas, but an ocean theme could be SO cool! My friend got married at salishan in Lincoln city and she had a subtle ocean theme and it was beautiful! I can't wait to hear all of your plans!

Thanks, vistagirl! Up until now we had been thinking ceremony at the Little Log Church by the Sea in Yachats, followed by reception at the Yachats Inn Teahouse Pavilion, a meeting/party room with hardwood floors and a woodstove and full kitchen, lots of windows and full deck facing the ocean. Way cheaper than the acquarium. And darned if they don't charge more for a wedding than a meeting at the aquarium!
