While I personally have not purchased wedding supplies from them.

For years (if not decades) my Mom would throw HUGE (200+ people, yards grouped to suit kids ages for egg hunts) Easter parties (along with other parties) and would spend hundreds of dollars (if not more) on various gift items and decorations from Oriental Trading Company.

Everything arrived on time and in good order. Some of their items can be on the cheap side. I’d recommend getting a few things and see what you think. The catalogue is not known for being super fancy. But they definately have got some great items. Try checking out their on-line items too!

They’ve been working on expanding their wedding selection for a few years now; which is great for those that can’t spend a ton of money of wedding favors and decor. I’ll probably look there for some of the items that I’ll need.

Good luck and hope this helps.

I haven’t purchased wedding items from them, but I have ordered party supplies.  It is a good company for inexpensive items.  I consider the quality to be comparable to Party City/Flower Factory/Factory Card Outlet.

I ordered some fans from them; I was pleased. They arrived quick and there were no defects.

I haven’t bought anything from them yet, but I plan on buying one of each of whatever I decide to get from them to decide if it will work or not, I plan on doing this with a lot of things that I order online for our wedding. Looking at a picture just doesn’t do it for me, I need to see it in person, see if it looks ok with other things, make sure it is not too “cheap” looking, etc.. I say go for it, just get 1 of whatever it is you want to make sure it will work for you.

I ordered blank canvas flag that I made the send-off Yay! flags with. They weren’t the highest quality, but they didn’t come off as cheap either, if that makes sense.

@Ke: I bought a card birdcage there. It was $20 and was perfect.

I heart oriental trading ! I recently received that catalog also and I am seriously considering the personalized salt and pepper shakers…  they are ceramic so they wont be cheap!

I didn’t order anything wedding-related from them, but I did for an event that I helped plan.  I ordered an item that was noted in the online reviews as often having a quality defect (crack in the plastic) but the online reviews also said that they had awesome customer service.  Sure enough, about 30% had the crack in the plastic defect, but Oriental Trading Company customer service was really nice, apologized for the problme, promptly accepted the return, and quickly mailed replacements.  I gave myself extra time in case this was a problem -and again the defects weren’t a surprise because of the online reviews.  I’d expect most items not to have that type of quality issue, and the customer service can’t be beat.
