Yeah, I was just thinjing that I read a blog today in paper flowers. and guess what it was on here. I think that its a great idea.
i personally don't like real flowers, partially because i'm allergic. i definitely thought about doing origami flowers.. it'll either be that or VERY MINIMAL. but i love the bouquet you have shown! good luck with it all!
Thanks Hive! I'll let you know how it turns out!
if you're still looking for inspiration, my sister emailed me this link this morning:

it's a nice roundup of paper flowers. good luck!
I think they'd be beautiful. I've made origami lillies before and they're not that hard. Using nice paper really helps, if you do decide to make them.

Hi Hive,
The Fiance and I are having an 18 month engagement for a multitude of reasons (money & timing for reception venue to name a few) so I was thinking I would use the time to DIY a bunch of things. I'm not really one for fresh flowers (although, I do love the occasional bouquet) but I'm not sure that I want to devote a chunk of my already small budget to fresh flowers. I was thinking of making some origami flowers (he studied Japanese in college and lived there twice since I've known him, so origami has a sentimental value to us)- has anyone ever heard of or seen someone do this at a wedding? How did it look? I found this bouquet through google and I'm not totally opposed to it!
