This was ours, the ring bearer carried a shell for our DW in Aruba.
FMIL is sending a birds nest for us to use.
The boy with the shell is super cute.
'What about a teddy bear? You could use ribbon to attatch the rings to the bear....and then use it as his gift.
If you are not having a flower girl, have him carry a little banner that says "here comes the bride" and it can be hanging from something he is holding.. whatever you decide it to be. I think its SOO adorable... too bad i don't have any little ones in my wedding party!
My best friend's ring bearer carried a birds nest. And I saw a picture somewhere of the ring bearer carrying a book, that was cute.
I'm not gonna lie, I don't really understand the whole nest thing...why a nest? Like a shell on the beach makes sense, but nests? I see them everywhere, but never really got it...
Our ring chest, carried by our best man since we didn't have a ring bearer. (I wanted something to put the rings in mainly for photos, but also it just made me uneasy to imagine the rings floating around in a tuxedo pocket).

So, I'm not a huge fan of the stereotypical ring bearer pillow. In fact, I don't want my adorable little ring bearing carrying any pillow, I just don't find them fun/unique enough. The cutest little boy on the face of the planet deserves something more interesting then a pillow, right?
So Bees...what are your unique/fun substitutions for the ring bearer "pillow"?
PS - I do want him carrying something, this 5 year old is much better at following orders when he feels like he has a "job" to do, so if he isn't carrying anything I don't think any amount of bribery will get him into his little tux with the purple bow tie and down that aisle...
