I’ve read lots of reviews for this company on Etsy, and even more on Yelp, but I was surprised that there hasn’t been much mention of them here. It seems the couple of times people have posted about them it has been after purchasing wedding bands from them, but never engagement rings. I’m certainly excited that there are so many great reviews on Yelp and Etsy, but buying a custom piece online is daunting to me.
Has anyone else had an enegagement ring made by them? Has anyone custom-designed an e-ring on another site and ended up hating it later? I just don’t want to regret going this modern route to find exactly what I want.
Here is the link to their store on Etsy:
And here is a picture of the ring I love the most (the hand engraving is what got my attention):

I don’t have any experience with them personall but just checked out their Etsy shop and <<SWOON>> OMG their rings are BEAUTIFUL! ! With so many good reviews I don’t think you can go wrong! 🙂 Hopefully someone else has more feedback…

They would I imagine ask for a deposit for this and maybe charge a smidge more, but ask if they are willing to send you a wax model of the ring for approval beforehand. I’ve come across a few places that offer that service.

Oh I’m going to follow this thread – I don’t have any personal experience with them, but LOVE their rings and am strongly considering purchasing a band there.

My boyfriend and I decided to go for it. With the exception of Knox Jewelers (who won’t sell you a setting unless you also buy one of their diamonds), I just don’t like anything else nearly as much, plus the price is more competitive than anywhere we’ve looked. After explaining everything I wanted, with a 7mm cushion cut FB moissanite center stone, in platinum, the quote was about $2,200. I’ll come back and post pictures, as well as let everyone know how the process of long distance ring design was 🙂

I had my ring made from Serenade Diamonds on Etsy. The process was amazing, I got exactly what I wanted and it cost a fraction of what it would have to buy it here! The only downside I’ve found is I can’t find a wedding band to match here, all the bands look yellow hued next to the super white diamonds in my ring! <br /><br />

Yeah, it looks as though Serenade and Orospot are both located in the Diamond District in NYC. That has to be the answer to why their prices are so much lower–the area is so competitive and deals in such high volume that the prices stay super low.

@jreal how did your experience turn out? Was everything real and legit? I’ve been corresponding with them for my E ring

I LOVE them, and in fact, they will probably be my forever jewler 🙂 Communication is very straightforward and always answered timely. They made my e-ring, which was beautifully hand engraved and gorgeous, and then we had them make a matching wedding band which goes perfectly with it. I designed the ring myself providing links to different aspects of different rings that I liked, for example “i like this type of engraving, this cutout in the setting, this width” etc etc. They even made a listing on their etsy site for my ring afterward. You can see it here:

Jreal, Im about to have a custom made ring from Orsospot, too. My main concern is the quality of the diamonds. How do the diamonds look? Are they good quality diamonds or man made diamonds? I cant seem to get an answer.

amandaj1965 : I know this is an old thread but for what it’s worth I once talked to a woman in my city who had the most beautiful custom made curved wedding band and told me it was from orospot on etsy and said she had a fantastic experience with them. I did not ask if her diamonds were from there as well.
