I never temped, and based my ovulation times solely on tracking CM and ovulation pains. My LP was always around 10 days. I would start to spot brown at 9DPO (from what I estiamted). We got pregnant on our second month, and that month I didn’t spot like usual.

Yes – my LP can be between 11 and 13 days. I also have spotting before my period which can start as soon as 7dpo. It took me a long time to get pregnant (unexplained infertility) but all my day 21 bloods showed my progesterone levels were fine and that wasn’t the cause of the spotting.

the month I got pregnant I didn’t have my spotting (I did have a tiny bit the day before I tested which I think must have been about 13/14 dpo but I wasn’t tracking)

I had a short LP and started taking Vitex and it really helped. Took a month or so see results. (FWIW, I’m now 35 weeks pregnant. Can’t say it was the Vitex–or EPO, or pre-seed, etc.–but it certainly didn’t hurt!)

I may have a short LP. FF said I O’d on CD22 and I had a 30 day this month. I’m currently charting my first complete cycle. If I think it’s short after a few months I might get on the Vitex bandwagon.

I had an LP of 9-10 days. I started taking vitamin B complex, 100mg I think, and it increased my LP to 12 days. I started before we were TTC and only took it for I think a month before we got pregnant. That pregnancy ended at 5 weeks but I got pregnant the following cycle and I am now 17 weeks!

I will say that I never had any spotting during my LP though, so might be a little different.

zebra10 :  My LP was regularly 9-10 days long.  I didn’t have any issue getting pregnant (with my second, I didn’t chart before my first).  I didn’t have any spotting FWIW.  I didn’t take any supplements.  Spotting super early would be more of a concern to me than a shorter luteal phase (as long as it’s not super short like 7 days)

Will your doctor do progresterone testing? I had mine tesed on 9DPO and it was very low so she prescribed me oral Prometrim. I’ve been taking in for 2 months and my LP has increased by a couple days (12 and 11), it was ranging from 7-10 days. BUT, I’m still not pregnant frown
