I went with a maggie sottero dress and didn't need cups sewn in because the lace was laced up enough. Otherwise, have you thought about going with a longline bra? I've done the longline bra for other strapless dresses and find them to be the MOST supportive. I've got the same problem from the waist up--the bottom of the bra sits on my hips so it doesn't slide down slowly like other strapless bras do. Unless your dress is really tight around the chest area, i don't know that cups would be as supportive, either.
i wear a 36D and went the strapless bra route - but my dress isnt a corset back....i think with sewn in cups plus the corset back you would be fine.
I am a 32/34DD, and I will be going braless with a waist cincher corset, and no cup things sewn into my gown. Talk to your seamstress about it. If your gown fits you correctly, you shouldn't need the cups. The dress staying up has nothing to do with the cups. It has everything to do with how your gown fits you.
The cups don't help to hold up the girls they really just give them something to sit in for comfort sake. The corset should be good enough to hold them up!
So I say go for the cups!
I haven't tried on a ton of dresses or worked with a seamstress too much, but the longline bra seemed to have plenty of support for me (36D) when I was trying on dresses. I did try w/o the bra on one corset back, but I just really didn't like it. It may work for you though. I think it depends on your dress and how you feel. I'd wait until you have the dress and see what looks good and what you're comfortable with.
First of all if thats your dress, you rock it girl! =) If its lace up/corset back, you should be fine!
Oh, sorry, I have my pictures turned off! LOL. I think you look great in that dress, whatever you did. :)

Ok so I have a big chest. Big big. I'm a 36 DDand a half... My waist is decently small but my hips are big. I am a dramatic hourglass.
Are there any busty brides out there who went the sew in cups route? I'd like to be comfortable and my dress will be a corset back so it should be fine? But I don't know how those cups will work with these heavy puppies. I do not want to be pulling my dress up. What did you do?
Also my dress is strapless and sweetheart... another problem lol.
