Thanks, lime217 for the recommendation. I like Indiebride, but the same-sex section of Kvetch is usually pretty dead. I am the only gay blogger on Weddingbee (for now), but I am sure that there are more same-sex couples who read Weddingbee.
Here I am! My girlfriend and I are getting married next July, and I'm SO GLAD there's a same-sex wedding blogger on Weddingbee! I really like this site but had noticed that there were only heterosexual couples, and so I'm really really excited about this. I live in San Francisco, and we're getting married here, but I've yet to find a vendor's website that features a same sex wedding. Makes me sad, and a little anxious. Although it's changing, the wedding industry is still very hetero-centric.
I'm putting together my website and blog now - nothing going on yet, but check back in a few days!
I'd think about doing a blog entry about this as well as some people don't read the boards. I didn't venture into them until months after developing my wb addiction and I still don't read them as religiously as the blog.
Waving...There are more of us here. My girlfriend and I just postponed our wedding. We were intially going to have a ceremont this May but we are rescheduling for next May. My blog is here: http://thahotness.com . I blog about everything here. We have a blog together but we haven't blogged there in like forever and the last posts that we did were about our weight lost journey. http://www.porscheandmyisha.com
Twomayflies used to be around but I haven't seen her in a long time, and she seems to have let her blog go idle - but here are her old posts if you want to read them!
My girlfriend and I are getting married June 14th in upstate NY - not legal, but still important to us. I have a blog - www.xanga.com/twomayflies - but my posting has really slowed down a lot recently...
Hey Miss GB, I guess she hasn't visited this board, but WB reader Sam (who commented on your readings post) has a blog with totally adorable pics of her recent (same-sex) wedding in Boston. :-) There are baby animal pix on there, too! http://genierster.googlepages.com/sueandsam
I am a wedding photographer based in the generally ultra-conservative Temecula Valley in southern California. I am very happy that many of the photographers in this area are chosing to avoid photographing same-sex weddings. I hope all of the happy couples that they turn away love my work and come my way, because I believe that EVERYONE deserves to have a great photographer on their big day. For that matter, EVERYONE deserves to have a great venue, a great officiant, a great baker, and so on as well!
This ruling for same-sex marriages is long overdue! Congratulations to ALL of those in the LGBT community who finally have the opportunity to be treated with the equality they deserve.

Yeah, I'm so happy that I'm getting married in California where all my friends in same sex relationships have all the rights and privleges of straight couples.
I got married - I posted my pics over on the pics board...! Click over and check them out.
Also, we wrote our own ceremony, and for any of you who are thinking about doing the same, I'd be happy to share what we did! I didn't find a lot of gay-friendly prototypes out there so I basically started from scratch, and it seems more efficient (and friendly) to pass some ideas along.
I can't be the only one! I want to read your blogs. Where are you?
posted by gingerbread 98 posts 8 months agoYou're totally right, you CAN'T be the only one!

I am not sure if there are any same-sex couples blogging here but Indiebride has a whole section in Kvetch. Hope that helps you.

posted by firstlady 1 posts 8 months agoFirst Lady, I hear you. The wedding industry is very hetero..... which is funny since so many of the weddng planners are gay men.
The link I featured above has a beautiful same-sex wedding on it.
Also, one of my favorite magazines (which is also based in SF) is BOND magazine. http://www.bondmag.net
good stuff.
