I was surfing some wedding boards this morning. I came across a newly married women who was having problems. I scrolled down to see what the other suggested to her. Thinking it would be like our wonderful hive. I was shocked to find them being rude and belittling her. Now not everyone was. But it seemed like if you were nice to here there was a few bullies in the mix that would call you out and be really mean.

It made me stop and think just how great and supportive everyone at weddingbee is. How everyone tries to offer support and help. But also find a positive solution to an issue no matter how big or small. All and All.....

I just wanted to say thanks for beeeeing so awesome ladies!

That is why I love it here! I looked at other boards when I first got engaged, but after finding Da 'Bee I never looked back. I do go to The Knot to look at my local board because there is more activity on it there than here (I suppose I could do something about that). I love that you didn't mention the name of whatever board you were looking at. That just goes to show what a nice community we have here. You didn't feel the need to name check just to make Weddingbee look better, and I think that's a great thing.

That's the exact reason I love it here.  I have a really hard time understanding people who don't see that NICE MATTERS.  It does - and there are so many wonderful, helpful, supportive people here.  I'd much rather spend my time with the Bees...  :)

Its funny, I have never looked at any other board site about wedding planning.  I had absolutely no interest in seeing what was going on on the knot's list, but a friend turned me on to the bee and I'm hooked!  Even now that I love reading the boards, I haven't been tempted to look elsewhere.  I think the hive is all I need.

So thanks to all for being so wonderful!

Aww, FPG, isn't that the best thing about Weddingbee? I can't imagine having found a more supportive group. Any forum or public place will have a bad apple or two, but the great thing about Weddingbee is that those apples don't spoil the bunch! :)

I'm with Erin- I have never looked @ another board, I just thought this is how brides were. We were all so happy and in love that it only made sense we would want to be be happy and share stories of planning and love with others in the same position. - Shows what I know. Glad I didn't go to the other boards though- I'm happy here

I def. enjoy being on these boards vs other boards. Everyone is very nice and supportive and willing to give you an opinion on everything and anything no matter what the topic is. It's nice to talk to other ladies who have similar situations, wedding dates, themes you name it and understand the craziness you are going through as you plan your wedding.

I heart weddingbee. it's the best!

I have a monogomous relationship with weddinbee.  Hehe, j/k.  I just happen to like it far better than any other site out there.  I am glad to hear that our boards are more positive places than others!

Our hive hostesses work so hard to make this community welcoming, and it totally shows! Bees are the best!!!

I agree! I don't even remember how I stumbled upon the Bee, but I haven't looked anywhere else since!!  I love all the positive advise people give, and even the negative stuff helps too (depending on the situation). I'm sure I will still be here once we get married, I think I'm addicted! Other website threads being mean. : wedding Icon Biggrin

I have to agree 110%.  In the little time I was on another board, someone had tracked down my facebook and myspace pages and shared that information on that INTERNATIONAL website.  I am really protective of sharing personal info so I still don't know how she did it.  Needless to say I deleted that account and finally found wedding bee this weekend...YAY

I totally agree.  This is the most positive and welcoming place for all brides go to regardless of taste, budget, location, etc...  I wonder if Mrs. Bee ever thought this would become what it has when she started this all so long ago...

you know what Mrs. Bee's idea for weddingbee is like?  It's like "kristy's great idea"!  SO MUCH awesomeness starting from such a great little idea, at first! :)

heehee, I hope you don't mind the reference to the babysitters club, Mrs. Bee! :)  I mean this in the best way possible! :)
