Weddingbee boards

Hey ladies...some of you know my story...we have a wedding date, site, etc., but no official proposal/ring until he finds work. He has a few older friends (closer to our parents ages, but they're very close friends of ours) who just don't understand why we aren't engaged yet (and don't know about the date yet) so they keep saying things to him "I just don't understand why you keep things going like this" "Why are you doing this to her?" Almost acting like he's doing something wrong by not proposing. I know they just want to see us happy and especially would love to have babies to snuggle with, dear lord I think that's all they can think about! BUT I feel like it makes Mr. KS back off or get defensive. He doesn't act like that towards me, just kind of shruggs it off in general. Do you think they could be making things worse and take longer? Or am I just being paranoid and looking for any excuse for why it's taking so long? :/

I think it's not fair to your SO to have to keep hearing that if you two have a plan you're both happy with. Since it sounds like they're saying these things because they're concerned about your wellbeing, maybe you can talk to them privately and mention that you guys have it figured out and you're perfectly happy. You don't need to tell them the date, venue, etc, just that you guys have a plan and are waiting until you're a bit more financially stable.
