So....

I somehow managed to jam my ring finger on my left hand while making the bed this morning, and now it hurts like a Mother F-er!  Don't even ask, just know that I'm the queen of clumsiness.   All day long the pain has slowly intensified, and it looks so swollen.  I tried putting my engagement ring on, but it won't go over the knuckle now without a fight.   My fiance assures me it's not broken since he's an expert on jamming his fingers playing basketball, but of all the rotten luck.  Why couldn't it have been one of my other 9 fingers?   I know I should probably wait until the swelling goes down before I wear my ring again, but I don't want to! Sorry, just had to whine a bit. 

Awww! I'm so sorry you jammed your ring finger, but at least you didn't jam it a week away from the wedding or something! 

I've had a problem with burning my hand recently. I burnt my right hand making dinner last week (big, red, 1 inch burn mark) and then I burnt my left index finger while baking cookies over the weekend (tiny red mark, but still) 

I already had a scar on my right arm from a burn I got ages ago, and they *do* show up in pictures- i noticed it in my engagement pictures. 

One of my close friends saw my larger burn and said "oh no, you're going to have to get that to clear up before the wedding!" 

Seriously? Now I have to worry about not injuring my hands, too?

@tinylittlebird:  Don't get me started on all the burn marks I have all over my hands.  I really need to invest in some oven mitts!

@T.R.Bride:  Eeek!  Maybe you can make "Engagement Scars" a new trend, lol.
