I did a Body Pump class yesterday.  Today, I dropped my pen and squatted down to pick it up… let’s just say I REALLY hope I don’t drop anything else for the rest of the day!

Wow, be careful!! 7 miles after 6 months of no running is a recipe for injury. That’s great you could do it, but I would build up slowly from 3 miles at a time.

@ajillity81:  That’s good! I’ve been dealing with some bad running injuries, so I tell everyone “BE CAREFUL!!!” haha!

Oh I love that kind of pain. It always makes me feel like I’ve accomplished something haha.

@ajillity81:  aspirin, ice, and heat.

I kind of love the soreness that comes from a good workout. It just means you’re waking up muscles that havent been used in a while.

As long as you’re careful (and it sounds like you totally know what you’re doing) it’ll wear off.

I couldn’t find my usual handle for tricep pull-downs, so I used a different bar and stance the other day. And wow, some parts of my arms and back are SOOOORE.

That’s amazing!!  I hope I can run 7 miles straight some day… I’m going to start  running in January with a beginner’s group at the local run club.  Should be interesting since I’m not a runner at all…

@ajillity81:  That is good if you went all 7 miles and hadn’t ran in the past 6 months!  You must have a good base fitness level.  I usually hurt the most by day 2!  May there be few stairs in your path!

@babytoes:  That’s the best way to start!! I started in a running group in November of 2008 and could hardly run 5 miles. Now I’ve run 7 marathons! Oh and gained a husband (we met in the group) Wink
