@Valhalla: Whoa, no wisdom teeth? Awesome. I actually had 5 pulled, 4 wisdom and one to make space for the braces I am finally starting! Super excited about that - prents couldn't afford it when I was younger, but I have always wanted to do it before I got married, lol.
You'll be okay, the pain got better after a day or so for me. Feel better soon and good luck with the braces!
@RobinBananas: it is so good I don't have any, becuase I have a death like fear of dental procedures. Someone above was thinking ahead by giving me no wisdom teeth :)
I'm getting my two bottom wisdom teeth and one molar pulled next month and I'm already stressing about it!!! I'm not getting put under, because that really terrifies me!
@Bostonsmom: I'm really afraid of all these things too, but knowing people who used laughing gas and remembered part of the surger, or did just novocaine and have been totally traumatized against dental work...yeah, I'm happy with my choice. You're not all the way uner, anyway, it's this "twilight" stuff that doesn't suppress your central nervous system, etc. I loved it - they gave me a little gas to calm the nerves before the IV and then the next thing I know I'm sitting up with Mr. B. Pretty easy, insomuch as it could be.
Aww hope you're feeling better! I got mine out last month. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Just make sure you're not taking ibuprofen on an empty/not full stomach for pain. I was taking that instead of heavy pain meds, and I ended up with a stomach ulcer :(
I always wanted to get braces too (never had them as a kid). Good for you! :)
