Back in junior high at a Halloween Party, we were using one and we believe that we got it to work. At random, and friend of a friend showed up, so we asked it to spell out their middle name – since neither of us doing the board really knew that information of this friend… and it spelt it out right.

Also, I played clarinet back then, so the pads of my fingertips were always more pointed from the keys. I would only put my fingertips lightly on the piece and barely feel it move due to the pads of my fingertips being used… and it still moved. I thought it was fun.

jrae05:  Right around 8th grade or so (so about age 12) my friend and I were fooling around with a board. Being a 12 year old girl, I asked when I would get a boyfriend and the board said June 3rd. A couple June 3rds went by with no boyfriend and I completely forgot about it. When I did get a boyfriend, it wasn’t on June 3rd. But his birthday was, you guessed it…. June 3rd. Kind of weird.

I have twin cousins that are 3 years older than me. They invited me to their 12th or 13th birthday sleepover, and someone brought a Quija board. My aunt (who died in a car crash about 7 years later) had always been convinced that their house was haunted. She claimed that she witnessed a figure in the upstairs of the house several times over the years. So often, in fact, that it was part of her normal routine. She never seemed scared of or threatened by this entity. Anyway, we played with the board for a while, but I never touched it myself. It was pretty much what you’d expect a bunch of 10-13 year-old girls playing with a Ouija board would be like, spooking each other and a lot of laughing. Afterward, we decided to play a stupid awful game where you make yourself light-headed and then your friends help you lose consciousness (yeah, stupid and awful). We did this with one of my cousins, and when she came to, she was not okay. It was like she was in some sort of in-between state, and we couldn’t wake her up. She was in a fetal position, whimpering, kicking herself in the back of the ankles so hard she was bleeding, and she was pulling her hair out. I’m not sure how long this lasted, maybe 10-15 minutes? But it felt like forever, and I was terrified. When she finally came to, she did not remember a thing and wanted to know why clumps of her hair were missing. No idea if the incidents were related, but I have never touched a Quija board since.

  • Wedding: dont know

We asked if I was ever going to get married when I was in 8th grade.  It started to spell out d-i- then i moved my hands.  So I guess I’ll either die, my now fiance will die, or we’ll divorce.  None of those sound acceptable to me. :-/

I forgot to mention that the pads of my fingertips would get really hot too, when it was moving around the board. That was freaky!

These are interesting! Posting to follow.

I have played with a Quija board before when I was 10 or so but never had anything happen. I admit I used to move it myself sometimes to freak people out though.

I am so creeped out by ouija boards that i would never try one. I find the supernatural sooo creepy yet totally a real thing and am very intrigued by it.
