Hubby and I got married only five days ago, and already our photographer (Teal Photography) has gotten us a sneak peak of our photos!! I’m in love with them and can’t stop looking at them! The venue, by the way, is Ironstone Ranch in Elizabethtown, PA. GORGEOUS. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue, better day, or better people to spend it with. Our only complaint was that it was over too quickly!
My MIL surprised us both by having guests release lanterns (like in Tangled!)
We wrote each other letters and exchanged them a few minutes before the ceremony.
My new husband! Isn’t he handsome!
The rest of these photos were taken by either my mom or FIL.
Putting on the Flyers garter
The cupcakes were a gift from my in-laws, and they did such a wonderful job setting them up.
More pics are coming, probably in 3 or 4 more posts, but for now it’s time for my first day back to work after the wedding. Back to reality!

@Cassiopeia: Oh my goodness, you’re going to have such an amazing time!!! I’m sure you’ve realized this by now, but everyone at Ironstone and C&J is fantastic to work with. My DH and I both felt that Mark wanted our day to go just as perfectly as we did, and worked so hard to make sure that happened. I don’t have one bad thing to say about my experience there.
As for tips, I think the biggest mistake I made (and this just shows how great everything was if THIS was my biggest mistake) was not talking with C&J/Ironstone about what they provide vs. what we had to provide. We ended up buying a lot of things we didn’t need to (jars for smores ingredients, marshmallow roasting forks, etc. Just little stuff).
We also had a little issue with the heat outside during cocktail hour and some of our elderly relatives, but I would think in September you’ll be fine. I would just make sure they know if they get too hot or need to sit down, they’re welcome in the main barn.
Also, make sure you allow yourself and your wedding party enough time to take a TON of pictures. We gave ourselves over an hour, and I still could have been out there several more taking pictures; it’s just such a beautiful location, with so many photo-ops!
That’s all I can think of off the top of my head, but if you have any questions let me know, I’ll be happy to help if I can! I looooove talking up Ironstone!!

@Cassiopeia: Also, if you need any help finding vendors (although I’m guessing at this point you probably don’t) let me know, I worked with some great people planning our wedding!

@mvg120: / @Cassiopeia:
Oh my gosh guys, I’m an October Ironstone bride!! I totally happened upon this thread by accident (was NOT searching Ironstone), so my heart jumped when I saw that. Especially because it’s fairly new, and there doesn’t seem to be a TON of pics / info on the interwebs yet.
I’m really SO excited about this venue. I found it online, and the more I read about it and their mission and the location, the more I was interested. When FI and I went to visit, we fell in love with the place even more (how could you not, after a visit and trail/property tour with Mark!). When we found out Sunday of Columbus Day weekend was still open, we pretty much decided on the spot. Our visit was just in March! We still weren’t sure if we wanted to “rush into” a 2013 date or wait another 1.5 years for 2014.
Anyway, @mvg120: , congratulations!! Your pics are beautiful. I especially love your veil! I almost went with a similar color scheme as yours, but switched to something less summery. I’m so relieved to hear you had a fantastic experience. I really get that sense from talking with them as well, but you never know… 🙂 What did your timeline look like? Which location did you use for your ceremony? We’re going for the orchard, weather permitting. I feel like there’s so much good stuff there, I want to have a wedding weekend… not just 6 hours. Haha.
