Weddingbee boards

So our travel agent just called us and let us know that the airlines will no longer offer the flight that we were supposed to take for our honeymoon.  The only other option is to fly out at 1am (our wedding will end around 11pm and then we have to be at the airport for our 1am flight) and then we would have a 8 hour layover in Atlanta, so it would take over a day to get to our hotel in Punta Cana!!!!

I am trying not to panic and get upset.  We can change our destination so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions.  We were going to stay at the brand new hotel Hotel Bavaro Grande in Punta Cana.  I was thinking maybe Negril Jamacia, I have stayed in Jamacia before but have never been to Negril.

I would love to go to St. Lucia but I went there on my first honeymoon so you probably know why my FI wouldn't want to go there for our honeymoon!

p.s. Our wedding is 10/23/09 just fyi and we were supposed to leave on the 25th.

I did a quick search on the Denver Airports website and there are about 20 flights leaving Denver the 25 that will put you in Punta Cana on the 26.  There are also several that leave the 24 and get there the 25.  The only same day flight I saw was for the 24th which may get you there too early for your hotel, but you may be able to add some days.  I hope it all works out for you.  Hopefully you can find a flight that works and then you can always take the layover time to check out the city you are stuck in for a couple hours. I would try and change the flight first if you can.
