- Wedding: October 2013
Hi Bees! I finally got my photos back from the photographer and thought I’d share some of the highlights of the day. I was going for a medieval/fairytale/fantasy theme on a budget. We were married in a humanist ceremony by the mother of an old friend of mine, which was lovely. My dress and veil was made by Jasmines and was based on Caroline Castigliano’s ‘beauty’. The veil was made to my own design, and I LOVED it.
I can honestly say that this was the best day of my life so far. Everything was perfect.
Hope you like the photos! I’ve spared you most of the family/wedding party portraits 😉
My beautiful custom bouquet from Etsy seller Braggingbags.
Getting my face on 🙂 I did my own make up and hair so that I could spend the money on products (am make up junkie)
My bag at the front was my grandmothers and dates from the 40’s.
My beautiful Demi who slept through the whole chaos that was the wedding morning 🙂
Our venue on the morning.
My wonderful new husband. Isn’t he handsome?
With his groomsman and his best man, being silly.
The bridal party..
I like this photo. It’s when I left my room for the last time as a single woman. You can see all the feels in my face.
We had a quick visit to my dad at his care home and then we were off to the castle.
I LOVED the chapel area of the castle. it was terrifying coming down all those stairs in my dress but we managed.
My mum giving me away…
This was a surprise meet and greet with the Castles birds which we put on for our guests between service and dinner. They went down a storm!
Rapunzel from Tangled with a quick dye job 😉
Our amazing photographer stole us after dinner and took us outside for some evening shots. I love them and have already whittled them down as much as I can. If you have an opinion on which one is the best let me know for framing purposes 🙂
By this point the underskirt of my dress had fallen apart so the dress isn’t as ‘poofy’ as it should be. NEVER MIND.
Last shot before the photographer left and the ceilidh started.
Guest shot of the cake cutting.
And a shot of the dress I changed into for dancing.
And an end of the evening ‘go home, I’m knackered’ shot.
