We got married and it was the most perfect day! It had rained the day before but Sunday’s weather was just the best you could ever hope for.
Throughout the morning of getting ready we were receiving nasty text messages from my cousin who didn’t get invited (because he’s nasty!), those coupled with my brother’s nasty message two nights prior were making me worry that someone would ruin our wedding day – THANKFULLY nothing happened (although my brother did make an odd, stupid speech)!
The girls walking down the aisle:
Me getting a bit emotional! Dad said he was starting to tear up. Our wedding was at a national park and there were wallabies near us and one had hopped up to have a ‘look’ at the wedding, as we were walking down the aisle 🙂

You can see the lake in the background 🙂 :-

Here’s a close-up of my brooch bouquets… loved them.

And our first dance… me laughing at one of the groomsmen who couldn’t dance with the bridesmaid because her baby was crying, so he danced with my sister’s boyfriend.
I can’t believe it’s over! They say that things will go wrong on your wedding day, well nothing did for us (apart from family drama in the lead-up and me getting sick on the honeymoon). Also, it’s the most surreal feeling experiencing your wedding day. I never felt 100% ‘in the moment’ – it was almost ‘out of body’ I just couldn’t believe that this was our wedding day and we were living it! But it was still really lovely 🙂

@amyinbrisbane: Lovely pics. I love the foresty venue.
Don’t worry about the cousin situation, I had the same thing happen to me, and I just kick those people out of my life, because they are not really happy for me if they are just concerned with getting a invite.

@KingsDaughter: Yes, all too true. And that’s why he didn’t get an invite in the first place! But I tell you, weddings really open your eyes to the people who actually do love you no matter what!
